Android Lollipop 5.1.1 Update Rolls Out For LG G Flex 2
According to reports, LG G Flex 2 smartphone has starting receiving Android 5.1.1 OTA update in US and Korean regions. US carrier Sprint rolled out the latest Android update for the curved smartphone. But, its global release is still awaited till the end of this month.
The update rolling for this device will feature latest firmware version LS996V6, and will bring several improvements with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the latest OS released by Google for Nexus smartphones.
According to LG, the update rolling for G Flex 2 will bring a rich set of enhancements with improved battery backup, security, and performance. It will fix minor bugs and eliminate memory leak issues that have been troubling users in the previous version. The update also packs Google’s material design interface complimented with the latest version of all Google Apps. Although, material design is also available in Android 5.0, but the new update, the interface of this smartphones has also been improved.
To recall, LG G Flex 2 packs a nice set of specifications with a curved Full-HD display of 5.5-inchs protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a 2.3 GHz Octa-core snapdragon 810 chipset built-on 64-bit architecture, Adreno 430 graphics and 2GB of RAM. It runs Android Lollipop 5.0 right out-of-the box, and offers 16 gigs of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card. Another variant of this phone 32GB onboard storage has also been rolling in the market.
The rear camera of LG G Flex 2 is a 13-megapixel shooter with dual LED flash and optical image stabilization technology, and front-facing camera is a-2.1 megapixel shooter capable of taking excellent selfies. Several features like Glance view and Knock code are also equipped this device to enhance its image taking capabilities.
On the connectivity front, Flex 2 is backed by standard options like, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB, OTG, 3G and 4G LTE. Its performance is backed by a long-lasting battery of 3000mAh capable of offering enough juice to keep the day going with no trouble.
