Qualcomm Powered Asus ZenFone 2 Models Unveiled At Computex
After unveiling ZenFone Selfie, ZenPads and ZenWatch, ASUS has announced new Avatars of the popular ZenFone 2 smartphone. The renowned Taiwanese company announced ZE500KL, ZE550KL and ZE600KL models with improved display, 2GB RAM and a 13 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus technology. Featuring top-notch specs, all three ZenFone 2 models have been powered with Snapdragon SoC instead of Intel Atom processor.
First up, the ZenFone 2 ZE500KL boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset and 2GB of RAM. The device includes 16GB of inbuilt storage, and will also have another variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. Storage on this device is expandable via microSD card, and the rear camera is a 13MP shooter and front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter.
The next model, ZenFone 2 ZE550KL packs a bigger display of 5.5-inches. This device has been powered by the same Snapdragon 410 processor, and looks like the big brother ZenFone 2 ZE500KL because of its increased screen size and similar features. The camera on board with ZE550KL the same 13MP shooter with laser autofocus technology. Although, the RAM and storage of this device will stick to 2GB and 16GB, and will not have any variants with more power.
Lastly, ZenFone 2 ZE600KL showed up as the biggest surprise at Computex with a 6-inch HD IPS display. Featuring a Qualcomm snapdragon 615 chipset, the device is set to come in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. With 13MP rear and 5MP front facing camera, and a 3000mAh battery, the camera capabilities and battery of this device is also completely identical to the other two smartphones launched at the event.
Soon after the launch of ZenFone Selfie with 13MP rear and front-facing cameras, Snapdragon 615 SoC, Adreno 405 GPU, and a 5.5-inch full HD display, ASUS has put up quite a show with the launch of new ZenFone 2 models. No doubt, the company targeting budget smartphone segment with some really powerful devices.
