Sony Xperia C4 Dual and M4 Aqua Dual comparison

Sony has conducted an exclusive launch of its new smart phone at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Hotel on 26 May. This has been in the headlines for quite some time. The Japanese technology company has unveiled this smart phone in front of approximately 50 media reporters, journalists as well as bloggers.

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua was brought forward by the India’s product Marketing Head, Mr. Mukesh Srivastava who get people acquainted with its detailed specifications and features. This new smart phone does not only has a great camera clarity, 2-day battery but is also the first waterproof smartphone in mid-range. This smart phone is definitely going take on numerous rivals competing in the same segment.

Some of the prominent and noteworthy features that this M4 Aqua has are:

• Multi-tasking– Sony has excellently introduced M4 Aqua with multi-tasking capabilities. It is a device wherein users can access various applications at the same time. It has gotten pretty easier for the users to manage the applications with just one click to either minimize, close or reopen them
• Low Light Images– Sony has exhibited highly awe-inspiring low-light capabilities in the M4 Aqua as compared to any smart phone. The Japanese company conducted a demo using a dark box wherein M4 Aqua captured clear images without the use of flash whereas another headset in the same range failed to do so.
• Camera– M4 Aqua has excellent camera capabilities. In addition to its low-light image quality, Sony M4 Aqua is featured with 13 MP primary Exmor RS sensor along with f2.0 aperture. There is a wide angle 5 MP sensor in the front shooter.
• Water Proof– It is the first smart phone which has waterproof feature. To prove its resistance, Srivastava inserted the phone in a bowl full of water. It did not affect the handset as the charging port remain untouched.

Key Specifications of Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual

This phone is provided with a 1.5 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor along with RAM of 2GB and an expandable storage of 16GB. Moreover, the handset has a wide and comfy display of 5 inches and resolution of 720 p. M4 Aqua Dual has a non-removable Li-on battery which is measuring 2,400 mAh and is also featured with Sony’s Stamina Mode 5.0 to improve the working and performance of the handset with some more hours and days.

Price and availability

This smart phone, namely Sony M4 Aqua Dual was launched at a price of Rs. 24,990. It is easily available almost across all the channels and in coral, white and black colours.

Sony Xperia C4

Sony continued the event with the launch of not only one phone but another phone that was in the pipeline, the Xperia C4, the successor of Xperia C3. It is evident that the newly launched Xperia C4 is an upgraded version of C3 and is also an upmarket and high end phone as compared to Sony M4 Aqua. Some of the features of C4 as explained by Sony are listed below.

The Japanese giant tech, Sony reiterated about the unique features of the handset in details along with technical specifications. As per the company, Sony C4 has all the features that are in Aqua M4 including high resolution camera, multi-tasking and long lasting batter with Stamina Mode 5.0.

The difference in the two handsets is that C4 is fitted with a slightly better 1.7GHz octa-core MT6752 processor and has a wide Full high definition display of 5.5 inches. The camera in Xperia C4 also seems to be improved as at the back of the handset there is 3MP Exmor RS with flash and the front is equipped with wide angle camera measuring 5MP 25mm along with LED display. The camera is the highlighted feature of Xperia C4 which is available with new features like voice enabled selfie, AR mask, style portrait and many more. In the demo it was clear that the camera’s different modes function impressively outstanding with precision capabilities to scan the subject.

Just like Xperia M4 Aqua, C4 also has dual SIM feature as well as 4G broadband. However the battery in C4 is comparatively bigger as compared to M4 Aqua. The size of the battery is 2,600 mAh along with Stamina Mode 5.0 to give extra hours.

The price of this phone has not been decided as it was not announced but the details will be disclosed soon, probably in mid-June.

A comparison

Sony has introduced Xperia M4 Aqua Dual at a price range of Rs. 24, 990 and is the company’s first phone available with 64-bit octa-core processor. At the same time Xperia C4 was also launched but the price of the phone has not been given by Sony.

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual has 720 p high definition display measuring 5 inches and runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The weight of Xperia M4 is 136 gms and is the first mid-range waterproof smart phone. This handset has 2 GB Ram along with 16 GB ROM which can be increased using a Micro SD card. Sony has promise that battery measuring 2,400 mAh will be going to last longer for around two days.

M4 aqua has an impressive 13 megapixel camera with front camera of 5 megapixel. This is powered by effective Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. This smart device is provided with 4L LTE connectivity and the phone was expected to go on display and sale by May 26.

On the other hand, Sony Xperia C4 has a bigger 5.5 inch display screen with full HD IPS display and it weighs approximately 146 gms, slightly more than M4 Aqua. This is featured with the same camera resolution, 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front, as that of Xperia M4 Aqua Dual. This smart phone is backed by MediaTek MT6752 processor along with 2GB RAM. It offers 16 GB internal data storage facility which is expandable to 128 GB using a Micro SD card. The phone has NFC, WiFi, USB 2.0 and needs Nan-SIM. However both the phones are dual SIM handse
