Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Leaked Image Reveals Design and Build Quality

Few days ago, June 29 was revealed as the launch date of upcoming Xiaomi Note device with a screenshot of its home screen. Most of us have been suspecting that this device will be Redmi Note 2. The actual smartphone will be out soon, but a leaked image on Twitter has further enhanced the speculations about next big thing from Xiaomi. The image reveals new features, and some minor tweaks in the design language of the phone.

The leaked image posted by tipster @leaksfly showcased the back portion of upcoming Xiaomi Note 2. It revealed a fingerprint sensor right below the camera module, which is round this time instead of square as featured in the previous version of the device.

Just like the current Redmi Note from Xiaomi, the successor featured in tipped image will also flaunt a symmetrical look with volume and phone lock buttons at right end of the device, and a 3.5mm headphone jack right on the top. There are slight changes in design language of the new smartphone, but its build material will be creating a clear line of difference from its predecessor. According to the leaked the image, the new smartphone will be featuring a metal body finish with plastic strips placed on the top and bottom portion for accommodating the antennas. The original variant of the phone didn’t feature a metal body, and was designed completely from plastic.

The sad part is, leaked image didn’t feature any specifications of the upcoming Note device. However, China’s Quality Certification Center highlighted some of the main elements of the upcoming phone which included, a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooter, and a gigantic battery of 3000mAH offering support to 4G LTE connectivity. Under the hood, different reports have been coming in from different end. First a Chinese website claimed that the device will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset, while after sometime, another reporting came in that Redmi Note 2 will feature with a Snapdragon 410 chipset. However, the official specifications of this phone will be revealed soon, and in just a matter of weeks, new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will be available in the Indian market.
