Samsung Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7 Launched In India
Renowned smartphone maker Samsung has launched Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 selfie-focused smartphone in India. These smartphones feature a decent set of specs, and are set to hit the market on 24th July exclusively via Flipkart. The Galaxy J5 has been priced at an enticing Rs. 11,999 and Galaxy J7 has been priced at slightly above Rs. 14,999.
Last month, Samsung launched Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in china. But, this time around, the company launched these phones with small tweaks in their display type, inbuilt storage, and processor. Both dual-sim handsets run the latest Android 5.1 out-of-the box, and will be coming in Black, White, and Golden avatars. They’re company’s first selfie-focused smartphone equipped with a front-facing LED flash.
Samsung Galaxy J5 sports a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, and has been powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset, clocked at a frequency of 1.2GHz, and clubbed with 1.5 GB of RAM. The inbuilt memory equipped with this phone has been reduced to 8GB from 16GB, and if further expandable by up to 128 gigs via external microSD card.
The rear facing camera of Galaxy J5 is 13-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture, while front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel snapper complimented by LED flash. The connectivity on this device is also enriched with a rich set of options like, 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fil, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, and microUSB2.1. It measures 142x73x8.5mm in dimension, and is backed by a long-lasting battery of 2600mAh.
The Galaxy J7, on the other hand, appears completely identical to Galaxy J5, except for its faster processor bigger display and battery support. The power-packed phone comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and has been powered by an octa-core Exynos 7580 processor instead of Octa-core Snapdragon 615, packed with the China model.
Pre-booking for Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 is open from 16th July to 23rd July, and as an added bonus, Samsung is also offering the option to opt for Samsung Flip covers at a discounted price of Rs. 199 rather than Rs. 999. The phones will be bundled with several launch offers from Airtel and Gameloft, offering double data offer to 4G users, Wynk downloads worth Rs. 594 for 6 months, and free in-game credits of up to Rs. 3,200 for titles like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5.
