Xiaomi Tipping New Product Launch; Might Launch Mi 4i 32GB

Xiaomi, the renowned smartphone vendor that announced 16GB Mi 4i for Rs. 12,999 now looks set to unveil its upgraded avatar with 32 gigs of inbuilt memory. The famous smartphone manufacturer has posted an image on Facebook highlighting 16 made out of matchsticks, and an enigmatic saying, “Move 4 to double.” The puzzling message can relate to several elements, but as of now, most of us are expecting to see the 32GB variant of Mi 4i.

Not so long ago, Xiaomi’s Vice President Hugo Barra made a statement to bump limited storage of Mi 4i, and now, his words are completely in-line with the recently posted Facebook image. Only July 22, Xiaomi will be celebrating its 1 year in the Indian market, and will be bringing a big surprise for tech enthusiasts in India.

Xiaomi Mi 4i is one of the best crafted smartphones in the budget segment of 2015, but limited built-in storage up to 16 gigs and lack of microSD expandability brought extreme criticism from all ends. Users got barely 13 gigs for app and media storage, but Barra continued to defend the situation by saying, “For high performance devices, we are fundamentally against an SD card slot,”

Barra claimed that microSD card gives serious effect on device performance, and is susceptible to malfunctions and glitches at several situations. He highlighted microSD cards as poor and slow, and claimed that most android users suffer from data loss and unexpected crashes while transferring data or performing any other task. Xiaomi Mi 4 and its Indian avatar are two finest smartphones, but both work on limited storage space rather than microSD expansibility.

To recall, Xiaomi Mi 4i runs the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the box with company’s own MIUI 6 on the top. The device sports a 5-inch full HD display, and has been powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz, and clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper make this device ideal for day-light and low-light photography, and the 3120mAh battery packed inside gives sufficient amount of charge throughout the day! Limited storage was the only drawback of this device, but now, it looks like Xiaomi might bring an upgrade to cater Indian smartphone users!
