Intex Aqua Trend with 2GB RAM Launched In India at Rs. 9,444
Budget smartphone vendor Intex has launched another 4G LTE smartphone at an enticing price tag, Aqua Trend. After Aqua 4G+, it’s the second LTE enabled smartphone from the company, and will be hitting the shelves real soon via online as well as offline channels at a price of Rs. 9,444. The company claims Aqua Trend supports LTE connectivity, but hasn’t revealed further details about its network bands.
On the specifications front, Aqua Trend fits well in the budget segment. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the box, sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, and has been powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chip clocked at a 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. The rear camera of this device is a 13-megapixel shooter with LED flash, while the front-facing snapper features a 5-megapixel sensor with autofocus capabilities. The built-in storage packed with this device is 16 gigs, and is further expandable by microSD card.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim Aqua Trend packs standard support with options like, 3G, 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0. The device packs a 3.5mm audio jack, and gives prolific experience by producing rich music with or without headphones. It also comes with HotKnot file transfer technology which works completely like, near field communications or NFC shipping with several devices.
The new Aqua Trend measures 144.5×72.5×8.9mm in dimension, and weighs just around 152 grams. It’s backed by a long-lasting battery of 3000mAh, and will be available for purchase in Silver, Gray, Black, and Champagne colors with 1 screen breakage warranty and complimentary flip cover.
Along with this, Intex highlighted its plans to invest up to 300 crores in promotional activities to expand and double up its revenues up to 8000 crores this year. The company further announced Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu as its brand ambassador for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh regions. Intex has been launching an exciting range of budget smartphones this year. On Monday, it unveiled Cloud Q5 and Aqua Star II smartphones at Rs. 4,490 and Rs. 7,444 with an excellent package of hardware and software specs. Cloud Q5 packs an 8-megapixel rear snapper, and will be exclusively sold via ecommerce website eBay.
