LG G Pad II 8.0 Tablet Launched In Korea
Popular smartphone manufacturer, LG has launched the second generation of its G Pad 8.0 tablet in the Korean market. The tablet has been listed on company’s Korean website, and features a great set of specs alongside a standard full size USB port. The price and availability details of this powerful tablet are still unknown, but it looks like a decent upgrade over the previous G Pad 8.0.
Featured with model id LGV498, LG G Pad II 8.0 looks identical to its predecessor, but packs some really powerful features for improved and glitch-free performance. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out-of-the box, and just like the original G Pad, boasts a beautiful 8-inch WXGA display with IPS technology. LG has powered this tablet with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor with four cores clocked at 1.2GHz, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC memory. You can also expand its memory up to 128GB via micro-SD card.
The camera capabilities of this tablet were not revealed, but the new tablet will be packing some enticing features such as, apps from Microsoft office, Quick memo, LG-QPair 2.0 app, and company’s own KnockON to unlock the phone in different ways. Unlike regular tablets, it will be coming with a full-sized USB port that can be used to connect portable drives, game controllers, keyboards and other external devices. The width of capacitive stylus packed with this tablet has been reduced to 3.5mm, and performance has been improved with several tweaks in hardware and software elements.
Apart from full-sized USB, G Pad II 8.0 will feature standard connectivity options such as, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, EDGE/GPRS, and 3G HSPA+. LTE capabilities on this device are not yet confirmed, but there has been a buzz that LG will be bringing another variant of this tablet with 4G connectivity.
LG G Pad II 8.0 features a decent design language, weighs around 347 grams, and measures 210.8×124.2×8.95mm on the scale. It’s backed by a massive 4200mAh battery, and will be coming in appealing Titanium Black and White color options. As of now, it looks like a nice tablet with a rich set of features, but soon LG will confirm this fact by detailing camera and connectivity options comprehensively.
