Oppo R5s with 3GB RAM Listed On Company Website
According to reports, Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has unveiled a super-slim variant of its famous R5 smartphone. Dubbed as Oppo R5s, the new phone tips on the scale at 4.85mm, and packs incredible performance with 3GB RAM. Reports have also claimed that Oppo R7 Plus is also hitting the shelves in limited markets.
Oppo has listed R5s on its official Europe website at EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 15,000), and has marked August 25 as the date of purchase. The device look identical to original R5, but packs major upgrades in RAM and ROM capabilities.
On the specifications front, the new device features a 5.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display featuring a pixel density of 423ppi. It has been powered by the same 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor with four cores clocked at 2.1GHz and four clocked at 1.5GHz, paired with Adreno 405 GPU. The camera setup of this device includes a 13-megapixel rear, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The primary camera features f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor, and a LED flash for producing brilliant images under lowlight and daylight conditions.
Oppo R5s runs Android 4.4.4 KiKat-based ColorOS 2.0.1, and boasts 32GB of internal memory instead of 16GB. It lacks expandable storage, but offers decent connectivity support with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, and micro-USB options. It comes with a bunch of sensors, gives decent browsing experience, and packs mammoth power with a 2000mAh battery on-board. R5s is said to be equipped with VOOC technology which charges the phone from 0 to 75 percent in just half-an hour. It gives a nice look from all-angles, measures 148.9×74.5×4.85mm and weighs just around 155 grams.
Another news has claimed that the new Oppo R7 Plus is finally hitting the shelves limited markets. Launched in May, the powerful R7 Plus will be available for purchase at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,900). The detailed information about these markets has not been revealed, but it will be going on sale real soon.
In terms of specs, Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch full-HD AMOLED display, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip, coupled with 3G RAM and Adreno 305. Its camera setup includes a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with ISOCELL image sensor technology and f/2.2 aperture, and an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1, packs 32GB of internal storage, and is backed by a decent 4100mAh battery.
