Asus Zenpad C 7.0 Tablet Goes On Sale In India At Rs. 7,999

After a long wait, Asus has finally announced the availability details of its ZenPad C 7.0 Z170MG tablet in the Indian market. The MediaTek powered budget tablet will be shipping at a price tag of Rs. 7,999, and will be available exclusively via Snapdeal.com starting from Monday. It will be coming in Pearl White and Obsidian Black color options.

In addition to this, the Intel Atom X3-C3230 powered variant of this tablet will be coming at a slightly higher Rs. 8,999. It ships with model number Z170CG, and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.com. However, as of now, the company has not announced when this variant will be available for purchase.

As far as specs are concerned, the impressively crafted Asus ZenPad C 7.0 Z170MG sports a 7-inch LED backlit IPS display with a decent screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It powers up by MediaTek’s MT8382V/W quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and pairs up 1GB RAM for seamless work and play. It goes neck to neck with the ZenPad C 7.0 Z170CG, which powers up by a 64-bit Intel Atom C3230 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2HZ paired with 1GB of RAM.

Both tablets feature a 5-megapixel rear and VGA front-facing shooter, and incorporate standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and 3G HSPA+. Apart from a small difference in weight and thickness, both tablets look absolutely identical from the outside. They both run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the box, and pack sufficient juice with their efficient 13W non-removable Li-Po battery. The battery equipped with both tablets promises more than 8 hours of charge on moderate usage!

Earlier in October, the elder siblings ZenPad 7.0 Z370CG and Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL were introduced in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 11,999, the power-packed Z370CG rolled at Rs. 14,999 with bundled audio cover and priced at Rs. 14,999, the Z380KL shipped at Rs. 17,999 with audio cover. In competition with Xiaomi, Lenovo and other players, the tempting tablet lineup from Taiwanese tech giant will play a significant part in creating an interesting face-off in the budget segment. However, it still remains to be seen when the Intel Atom power ZenPad C 7.0 hit the shelves via Flipkart.
