4-Incher iPhone 7c Pops Up with Some More Details, To Be Available Sooner Than You Expect!

Since a few months, market has been filled with reports that suggest the existence of Apple iPhone 7c, the smaller sibling to the larger iPhones. It was rumoured that the device will see the light of day in September 2016, but the latest reports say that it will happen way too sooner.

To be precise, the mass production of the device is said to start in January next year, and will be made available in the market in April 2016. The report adds that Apple has done the trial production of the iPhone 7c on a small scale, and is all set to begin production.

The little smartphone from Apple is said to come in three different colour options and is likely to sport a design language that will be very similar to the iPhone 5s, including the metal unibody design and colour options.

As far as specifications are considered, the report has given a few details. The iPhone 7c will pack in a 4-inch display, that will be covered with a 2.5D curved glass display, and will also feature a Touch ID sensor for added security. It is rumoured to be powered by a 1642 mAh battery, and the processing will be handled by the A9 processor, which also powers the top-end iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

While the pricing is tipped to be around $400-500, and that’s a price possibly for the off-contract devices. The price roughly translates to Rs. 33,200 according to the current rates. Considering Apple’s history in India, the device will launch for somewhere above Rs. 45,000, taking into account the import duties and taxes and the launch prices of iPhone 6s series.

The pricing seems quite steep for a mid-range device with a 4-inch display, especially considering the price cuts announced by Apple for the iPhone 5s and the newly launched iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Apple has never been fair with the pricing of their devices, at least in India, but the online stores swiftly bring down the prices of Apple devices out of competition. The price of iPhone 6S 16GB model came down to 50k, while the iPhone 5S dropped to 21k online.
