The police can't handle the truth

The general public talks to the police.

Public: What is your job?
Police: To serve and protect.
Public: By stopping crime?
Police: No, we can only investigate crime.
Public: So how do you protect?
Police: By giving the illusion that we can stop crime.
Public: What happens when the public finds out?
Police: There will be a crime wave.
Public: And what will you be doing then?
Police: Protecting the state from the mob.
Public: Why?
Police: For minimum wage.
Public: And what will you spend your wage on?
Police: Genetically modified food to feed my family.
Public: But wont that poison and steralize them?
Police: Yes, but it gives the illusion that I’m feeding them.
Public: And what if you have no grandchildren?
Police: I don’t have time to think about that.
Public: Why?
Police: Because I’m doing my job.
Public: Which is?
Police: To serve and protect.
