More and more, everyday, people are waking up to the idea that this tragedy may have had use – or an excuse – for dismantling the normal due process protections. Negligence of Due Process

Question: is any of this justified?

We would like to think that, in terms of trying to create a safer environment for us, it should be.

But the nature of government, as Thomas Jefferson said, has the tendency to grow in power while rights and liberties yield to this acquisition. While the American government had noble intentions, the country has sociopaths and power addicts gravitating toward positions of power. These people use their influence to control government, our laws and livelihood, to secure their positions. They knew that everyone would happily sacrifice liberty on the alter of powerlessness, in the name of security.

Constitutionally, America can’t detain American citizens indefinitely, without a grand jury indictment. But we didn’t care. We were happy to set it the aside. We were happy to go along with the plan.

In normal due process, only a jury of our peers who can remove your freedom, or take away your life, after being indited by of a crime. Government officials do not have the ability to do this. Neither can judges, nor the can the president. The Founding Fathers fought the Revolution War over in part of the issue of normal due process. Yet, in war time effort, America seems bent on circumventing normal due process.

How has due process been circumvented? Through the wall of war. It’s simple: an enemy in wartime is not given a jury trial. This process is foregone in the interest of national security. Also, it’s assumed that the enemy combatant is a non-citizen. During World War 2, German citizens suspected of being part of the Nazis could be detained. But you could never detained a German-American. Constitutionally, they have to be tried for treason. Yet, in the future of martial will throw all of this out the window.

Study history. What happened whenever someone traded liberty for their security? History is full of cautionary tales of this most important lesson on Earth’s history. Yet, never in history do we ever learn our lessons. Already, we’re marching down the exact same road as the others. The same thing of what happened before is happening everywhere.

The Road Leading To Martial Law

All of this is conditioning the American people for police state justice. When Americans take to the street to voice their opinions, and are locked up for it, there will be no due process. When we’re suspected of crimes we didn’t commit, there will be no due process. We’ll be labeled as enemies of the state. Anyone who dare speak up against the system will be silenced by being thrown into prison. Detained indefinitely. To never been seen or heard from again…
