Obama Says That America’s Future Depends On Illegal Immigrants And DREAM Act

Obama is America’s great national nightmare

This story resonates with me very strongly. My mother was a first generation American whose father arrived here on Ellis Island in 1923. Harry Murphy arrived here with nothing, just a few dollars in his pocket, and a Scottish accent so strong you had to concentrate to understand what he was saying. Immigrants are the backbone of America, always have been and always will be. Legal immigrants, that is, who come here the right way and obey the laws.

The National Review reports that President Obama reminded Democratic donors that “our future rests” on the success of people brought to the United States illegally as children, who would qualify for citizenship if Congress had passed the DREAM Act.

“About 30 to 40 percent of the kids in this school, by the way, are DREAM kids,” Obama said Wednesday evening. “You wouldn’t know it looking at them, because they are as American as apple pie.  But every single one of these kids, you might not be able to tell the difference, but a whole bunch of them — they’re worried about whether or not they’re going to be able to finance their college education of their immigrant status.  They’re worried about whether, in fact, this country that they love so deeply loves them back and understands that our future rests on their success.  Why wouldn’t we want to give them that certainty that you are part of the fabric of this nation, we’re counting on you, and we’re going to make sure you succeed?  Why wouldn’t we want to do that?”

How absolutely messed up and distorted is that type of thinking? Obama is not just the “anti-Reagan”, he is the anti-Everything that made this country what it once was. The very idea that the children of law-breaking criminals are the “future” of our country? (Yes, they are called illegals because they broke the law in coming here). What a horrific slap in the face to everyone like my grandfather and the millions of others who did it the right way.

Just you wait until opens the flood gates and makes the millions of illegals he has allowed to remain here overnight citizens, and the entitlement system of this country – unemployment insurance, welfare, food stamps, healthcare – snaps in two like a little twig.

But then again, Professors Cloward and Piven, hasn’t that been the plan all along?
