MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION (MAD)

Profitable wars cannot be fought without the collaboration of the political elite, mainstream media propagandists and men in uniforms. Far distant from the front-lines the provocateurs never had to fight in the wars they invested in and then ignited.

Today, only the dumbest cannon-fodder dutifully turns up at front-lines killing fields; all are volunteers. However, many in the armed forces now operate their killing machines from an office in the United States or Europe. Safety in remoteness is an illusion; they will be vaporised too.

World War Two was a game-changer. The omnipotence of RAF / USAAF power brought the killing fields of The Great War to the remotest European villages. Germany and much of France was totally destroyed. U.S General Dwight D. Eisenhower was complacent: “I just wouldn’t know where to begin to rebuild Berlin.”

Here was the allied arrogance of invincibility; the smugness of knowing that those your air forces pulverise are unable to retaliate. The Reich simply didn’t have the means to send 1,000 bomber raids into British skies.

The United States were even more secure; neither Germany nor Japan had bases close enough to return fire. Whilst not a single bomb fell on the United States more bombs by weight were dropped on the city of Berlin than were released on the whole of Great Britain during the entire war.

The hubris of the United States and Britain was short-lived when after the war intercontinental weapons were developed. The arrival of Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) ushered in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). Any power foolish enough to press the red button could be assured that their ICBMs would be returned in kind and with equally devastating effect.

Minutes before U.S or NATO missiles struck Beijing, Moscow or Pyongyang, New York, Washington DC and San Francisco would resemble Detroit. Not a pretty sight and the population decimated. Afterwards, a Russian or Chinese general might haughtily remark: “I just wouldn’t know where to begin to rebuild Chicago.”

Looking on the bright side MAD meant we innocents were able to sleep peacefully in our beds. It never occurred to us that there were men mad enough to trigger a conflict which as a consequence would result in the immediate incineration of them and their families.

Basing my thinking on reason I can only assume that the war lobbyists get off on brinkmanship. It could be that the provocateurs are under the illusion that Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang will blink first and capitulate to Washington DC hegemony? If so they miscalculate.

It could be that they are disbelieving of their adversaries ability to retaliate. If so then the lives of one billion peoples, most European Christians, are on Washington DC’s gambling tables. Russian roulette may be an interesting diversion when five of the revolver’s chambers are empty; when the chambers are full it is called suicide.

The mainstream media’s propagandists, corrupt political elite and armed forces high command can rest assured that should they trigger World War III then the fiery destruction of their families is assured. If this assurance can be knocked into NATO heads then World War III might yet be averted.
