Keystone XL Pipeline: One of many pipelines that cross the Ogallala Aquifer

The Keystone pipeline will be a secure source of oil from Canada to greatly reduce our need for oil from overseas.  You will note the new line crosses a small part of the Ogallala Aquifer. This attached map details how many Natural Gas, Crude Oil, LPG-NGL &
Petrochemical lines cross it presently.

When you next hear about the Keystone XL Pipeline, the opposition claims the proposed pipeline will endanger the Ogallala Aquifer, a highly valued source of water in Nebraska, Oklahoma, New Mexico and North Texas. The implication by the opposition is that this pipeline is the only one proposed to cross the aquifer. The attached map will now make you one of the “informed,” as it identifies the nearly 20,000 miles energy transmission pipelines that already crisscross the region, and have for years.

The Obama Administration is willing to sacrifice jobs, and our energy independence just to satisfy his far left voting base.
