Colorado School of Mines tops salary potential list

Looks like mining engineer schools continue to top the highest salary potential lists in the Mountain region of the United States. According to Payscale.com, Colorado School of Mines, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology,  Montana Tech  and University of Arizona make the list of Mountain area schools with the highest annual pay for bachelor’s degrees without additional high education degrees.

Colorado School of Mines takes the top honor with starting average annual salary of $64,200 and a mid-year career average salary at $105,000. Not far behind in New Mexico tech with $53,000 average annual salary for recent grads.

With the current state of the economy, this great news for new mining engineer graduates. Maybe it’s time to change you major if you want to make the big bucks. It all starts with mining!
