I was just privy to watch the movie Jackass 3, and while I must admit I found parts to be quite funny (much like Paula Abdul the self-proclaimed champion of human rights using Mexicans as human furniture in Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno), I think this movie categorizes a very important (and dangerous) aspect of pop-culture in America today. This movie glamorizes stupidity, plain and simple. Has it always been this fashionable to be dumb in America? When did this trend start?

If we want to continue to be exceptional (not to mention continue to fund social security with real productive labor output), we need to address the serious issue of vacuous inept brain matter, which unfortunately plagues much of America’s youth. What passes as popular and desirable in this culture today isn’t helping anyone, except maybe the peddlers of useless consumables. Thanks to the explosion in “voluntary” social media (where real names, identities, locations are voluntarily disclosed) these marketers have a laser-targeted avenue to sell you on more useless things you don’t need. You could fill up an entire continent with the services, psychiatrists and medicines that have been developed in the past two decades to deal explicitly with this degeneration of self-esteem and productivity.

Men should be Mooks — preferably dumb, arrogant (without reason), image-obsessed, “larger than life” personalities, wrought with little or no introspection. Women should be Midriffs — their value deriving solely from the shape and firmness of their sexual features. These are the roles that have been designed and popularized for the youth of today, the future of America tomorrow.

So really, when they talk about the fiscal cliff, the trillions of dollars in debt that was issued off the backs of hard working people in this country to feed crony capitalist projects like Solyndra, and raising taxes to starve people even further of their hard-earned Federal Reserve Notes, it’s just a dog and pony show. The ship is sinking, the rats are raiding the food stores. Read between the lines: there is no lifeboat of legislation to save the numbed masses, and borrowed prosperity from the future must be paid back in lower standards of living across the board.

The Mook and the Midriff, perhaps by little fault of their own, will go down with the ship. Hundreds of billions of FRNs are spent every year to efficiently target the degradation of our moral and cultural fabric.

Turn on, tune in, and drop out – the anthem of every Network Host. Turn on your television like a dosage of intravenous anesthetic. Tune that dish to your favorite helping of neurochemical stimulation, and let the Network drop bombs on your collective conscious. You own your thoughts no longer; they are recalibrated on a daily basis like the algorithms that track and package every data point of your personal life into bottomless databases underneath the Utah snowline.

It is a terrible plight facing this country, and I wish no harm for anyone. I love all of Humanity equally– we are all brothers and sisters on this rock hurdling through space. However, this engineered debasement of cultural values far supersedes the debasement of the Federal Reserve Note, as it is the control mechanism through which the soul is kept asleep.

The effects of this cultural degradation will be witnessed exponentially with regards to the FRN currency. As the currency degrades and people cannot afford to eat or live, the fabric of the social contract could very well tear. Is this what they want? My hunch is that, those sociopaths whose bottoms warm the seats of power, the money masters, understand very well the true obstacle to their vast amounts of wealth: they are but numbers on a computer, in a finite world governed by finite resources, only good if there are humans willing to labor for said zeros.

The global conscious is waking up, and the advent of micro communities like /r/Silverbugs is evidence of this fact. Do your part to help those around you, but always keep your hand close to your chest. The Mook and the Midriff may only be eclipsed by the handout-starved “See Something? Say Something. Show me your papers.” crowd.
Remember this is America, not Soviet Russia. When you see these poor lost souls, tip your hat, and cherish a moment of empathy for their situation– they are so blissfully unaware of the marketing budget spent on them, the true driving force behind their actions.
