5 Pound Coin Lot to Stay Away From

I came across this auction this morning and I thought it was a great example of a problematic large lot auction. You can see the auction here:

A review of the photos, which are good for this type of auction, indicate a very run-of-the-mill lot of coins. I can’t identify every single coin, but it seems like almost all of them are very common post-WWII coins. I did not note any silver or 19th century coins. 

The auction calls out silver, early 1800s coins, and GEM BU coins, but then later states that the seller “cannot tell you what is in the bags.” This is contradictory and misleading. If this were a large business with some deep pockets the Plaintiff’s bar would probably be all over them.Yet the lot is sellling for over $50.00. I don’t think I would pay $30 for it.
