US Troops In Danger As Islamic State Sets Fire To A Sulfur Dioxide Plant.

There is so much happening in the world; sometimes we forget that we do have US troops on the frontline in the offensive to retake the city of Mosul.
Mosul, Iraq is the last Islamic State stronghold, and our troops mixed with Iraqis are fighting the good fight to reclaim the city.

Sulfur dioxide while burning is highly toxic and can be lethal. Troops will have to use masks to escape the burning sensation to their lungs and any wet skin. The sulfur plumes are being blown toward the base housing US troops.

The air was already poisoned with toxic black smoke burning from oil wells that IS had set fire to several months ago. The offensive to reclaim the city of Mosul is moving forward, but not without the horrible suffering of our troops and the Iraqis. We should keep these soldiers in our prayers.
