I think the CES show in Las Vegas has inspired me to continue on with e-waste art. With all the new ‘inventions’ there will be more and more ewaste into our waste streams and landfills. It is said that 70% of what goes into our landfills is e-waste!

By now, many people know they should recycle their cell – phones or even sell them for worthy causes. But still thousands of obsolete cells phones sit in drawers and garages waiting for what?? This giant cell phone eco art sculpture was created in Cluj-Napoca, Romania to as part of the citys Planet Report Environment and Film Festival.
Forest McCluer took 30 Computers- apart to make up a series of artworks. His work is documented on his website , an ongoing project to deconstruct 30 discarded personal computers and then create sculptures from all their constituent parts

element14, Premier Farnell’s online resource for the design engineering community is building the sculpture from electronics waste in the “Atrium at the entrance East” at electronica, in Munich , Germany . All attendees to the event have been encouraged to donate an old electronic device, component or small piece of electronics hardware to help in the building of the sculpture and show their commitment to responsible recycling.
