There is a particular harmony when industrial beauty comes together with more natural elegance. Docksmith has managed to do just this.

By hiding an electronic docking station within driftwood found on the shoreline of Maine, each piece is unique and interesting.  The act of collecting our driftwood is incredibly satisfying; from seed to tree to sandy shore each piece of driftwood has a solitary story that unveils itself in the wear of the wood.

The docks are cut and wired in a 1700′s barn just minutes from the ocean. The first floor of our barn is our woodworking shop and the loft of our barn is where all of our photography, packaging and shipping takes place. The entire company is run by a powerful  team of four – all “crafters, designers and dreamers”.d
