Inkkas actively works to help protect the environment by way of its partnership with Amazon Watch. As per number 1 of Inkkas’ 3 core principles, Inkkas pledges to donate a portion of all of its proceeds to help protect the Amazon rainforest and its inhabitants.

The movement also advocates paying a higher price to exporters as well as higher social and environmental standards.

These proceeds are donated to Amazon Watch(.org), a non-profit NGO that works with South American governments and local indigenous tribes to prevent the exploitation and deforestation of the Amazon rainforest.

Inkkas strives to support local communities in South America with charitable donations and goes to great lengths to source all of their textiles directly from the artisans that have been producing such beautiful fabrics for generations. All of their shoes are made with authentic textiles sourced directly from artisans across South America.
