Ormond Beach Florida

The sands are turned Blacken

and…

But yet they play, children digging in the sands as surfers surf

The dead sea life that persist

and…

and…

and…

and…Feathers from passing birds that are no more…

by the hundreds….

But yet no ones seems to see….

Ghost Crabs will let you walk up to them as they are unable to comprehend their mission, as if they are totally disoriatated…

The sea life has a chore to preserve, as the turtle presses on… the blackened beach

The blacken beaches hold mysteries to where it came from… Horizon ? ‘A marine engine reference manual’

Or a padded deck plate cushion

But the signs are there as to what was and is…

SAD !! I used to take my Children here to clean white and golden sands.

In a few short weeks I have seen these things and more to come by far !

polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) contained in crude oil.

Humans/animals metabolize PAHs. This turns the PAHs into carcinogenic material that binds to DNA. The PAH reaction with DNA makes it mutagenic and carcinogenic.

Long-term exposure to low levels of PAHs is the cancer problem.

Lungs (inhalation) and liver/multi-organ (ingestion) are top cancer risks from PAHs.

PAH compounds become MORE of an issue as oil weathers and breaks down… concentration increases.

PAHs are lipid soluble.

Benzene concentrations are likely very significant.

Its a problem called denial. People only see what they allow themselves to see. It is incredibly sad, and will be a nightmare as time moves on.
