WHO's reports about cell phones and cancer

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Our health sectors and health columns were full of confusing stuff about cellphones causing cancer. They were so confusing that I thought about looking it up.

I was even more confused! A part of these reports suggests that cellphones can cause cancer and other deadly diseases. Another part says that it is early to say so.

Obviously, when we look it up on the internet, we find people arguing about this like hell. I went to WHO’s site and went through MANY BLOGS.

What did I find out?

There’s definitely some proof that cellphones increase the risk of developing a deadly form of brain cancer. It’s a rare form of cancer.

I do not know why it was so difficult for WHO to declare this in an easy way. There’s too much statistical data that a normal guy cannot handle.

I am a blogger, so I had to put my NOSE INTO IT. Here it goes, the 31 member researcher group declared early that radio-frequency electromagnetic fields can cause brain cancer. That part was clear.

Possibly carcinogenic to humans?

These word are what that caused all this problem in the first place. These news reporters and websites were better off just saying, “increased risk for glioma.”

Glioma is a rare type of brain cancer associated with WIRELESS PHONES. The arguments started because of the report saying that it might be “possible” to develop this cancer.

Of course, as humans we think about all sides before saying anything. When WHO said that it might be possible to develop glioma, they compromised their authority  because of the lack of clarity.

Wait! Lack of clarity? Yep.

The lack of experimented animals, limited evidence, confusion created because of the global use of mobile phones; all contributed to this confusion.

For now, we do not know if we have to CONDEMN the radio-frequency fields for causing cancer.

Why did they have to create such contradicting theories inside the same report. It was not foolproof. It was more or less ERRATIC.
