"Breakups" In TV Can Affect A Teen's Mood

Breakups in television can affect kids too. A new study at the Ohio State University says that we react differently to the breakups in television. When you allow your teen kids to watch these TV series, you must understand that these breakups might affect their day to day life.

College-aged kids are the most vulnerable to such breakups. This is primarily because of the fact that TV isolates people and takes them away from most social activities these days. These people replace their normal day-to-day activities with TV viewing. They forget the importance of family or friends.

When a favorite show ends, the teen is likely to feel more lonely and depressed than normal. The strong relationship between the viewer and the character in these TV series add much more stress to the situation.

This also raises the question about why these teens watch TV. Some likes to pass time, some are far more stressed and need companionship. However, there are sensitive and depressed kids who might feel this situation with much more pressure.

Too much connection with these programs can cause some permanent effects on depressed kids. Think about that. Still, real breakups are far more sensitive and devastating than TV breakups.
