Fear & Courage

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

These days I have been feeling the deepest tides of my heart and at certain moments it has actually been frightening. I have been finding out that one can care and love so much that it hurts deeply. Of course these kinds of deep feelings from the heart recede quickly and are not like emotions that come in like a tide threatening not to go out.

When we love more we feel more and there is this place where our hearts actually go supernova—they literally explode in feeling flashes that sweep our normal levels of consciousness away. Those with really big hearts experience these things and then there are those who have sold their hearts to the devil, never to feel much love again.

In truth there are no limits to love,
as there are no limits to God.

There are real things to be afraid of in life so avoiding or being afraid of fear is not particularly life-serving. Courage is actually not the lack of fear but the ability to face it. There is no courage without fear so those who tell you not to fear and just relax and think positively are the most fearful, but they don’t know it or certainly will not admit it.

Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger—if we couldn’t feel it, we couldn’t protect ourselves from legitimate threats. So fear is a real thing we feel but if we are cowards we close our vulnerabilities (close our hearts). Emotions are things we feel but there are feelings—intuitions—on the level of pure being that come only from living with an open heart. Heart intelligence is vastly superior to our cognitive powers and I wrote HeartHealth to explain that. We can see clearly in our civilization where the arrogance of mind has led.

“Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
Frank Herbert, Dune
Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear

Perhaps it would be better to have said, “Fear is the mind-killer if not faced.” You have to have fear to face it. Fear is a universal emotion; all people, whether consciously or unconsciously, have fear of some sort at one time or another. Most people have a lot of unconscious fear about opening up their own vulnerabilities, so they hardly ever expose themselves; they never open to the divine tears of a melting heart.

The true heart radiates out a force that does not stop,
does not rest at any one point. True love simply loves love.

There is a very interesting essay by a doctor on fear of death. “I’d always considered the shattering of delusion in my life to be a good thing, something that’s always brought me more happiness rather than less. I remain acutely aware to this day that my ability to believe in my invulnerability has been irrevocably ruined,” concluded Dr. Alex Lickerman.

By their openness, people dedicated to the truth
live in the open, and through the exercise of their courage
to live in the open, they become free from fear.
Dr. M. Scott Peck

We can afford to smile though if we are surrounded by love. There is nothing better to settle a disturbed and stressed-out being than love, so before anyone calls me a fear monger, please understand I am always, in the background, suggesting more love. (And as you will see in one of my next essays, I will be suggesting more magnesium massages for cancer patients.)

The mirror of God’s love is found in the love for many.
We learn this love when we open our hearts
and learn love in its many forms.
Each being offers us a unique opportunity to learn love.
The more beings we truly love, the closer
to God we become for God loves all beings.
The Marriage of Souls

But we might cry thinking of what most of our loved ones are also going to have to face along with us. Fear might be a mind slayer but on a heart level fear of fear just closes down our sense of being. We cannot maintain our hearts in an open position unless we allow all our feelings to flow. One of the oldest and most useful affirmations I know is: “I am in touch with my feelings and express them to others easily.”

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid,
we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to
offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love
ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love
ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our
potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in
the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.
— John Lennon

Humanity’s fate is our fate and even the elite are deceiving themselves, for their money and power will, at best, offer them a place in an underground center strictly controlled by the military. It certainly will not be as much fun down there if the earth starts moving around. And the other people you might meet down there might not be the friendly type at all.

As I was writing about Fukushima I was having repeated explosions of feelings and fear of losing so much that I love in my personal life. Being alone with four of my kids for the first time added to the strength of those feelings because I felt so overcome by the responsibility of keeping them safe from harm as I imagine all fathers want to do. I just got a heartbreaker of a letter from parents with children in Canada desperate to protect their kids from the dangers coming across the Pacific.

I remember the image on TV of a Palestinian father trying to protect his boy from gunfire and failing in the attempt. There are things that threaten us and sometimes do break our hearts. Many have already fallen not knowing how the following-the-herd design of civilization corrupted and closed down their hearts. How does one with an open heart vaccinate a child?

As I finished writing this essay I had yet another explosion in my heart and broke down crying in my wife’s arms feeling the almost unbearable feeling about what we as a race have done to our children. Actually since writing Cry of the Heart, which became the Terror of Pediatric Medicine, I have been crying silently for the children. That does not mean that I am not a happy person but I am one full of feelings.

The Obama administration is not afraid of anything—not even afraid to look stupid in front of everyone. Despite the widespread contamination from last year’s Fukushima nuclear accident, the Obama administration’s nuclear regulators have quietly weakened planning for emergency response to a major U.S. nuclear power plant accident.

Do Something

Taking appropriate action is one of the best responses to fear we have, so if anything you have read about Fukushima and the radiation brings this fear to light, you have many things you can do to prepare and make yourself and your family stronger. There is no longer time to wait and see; events all over the world are in motion so one has to decide that they want to do something to prepare.

The time to make a plan and prepare is now and you must also realize that everything is likely to cost more next year. If you can get it, it is better to buy it now.

To all those who have to take a stand where they are on this planet, meaning all of us, I recommend going out and buying lots of magnesium oil and magnesium flakes (on sale), Dead Sea salt and Epsom salt. Buy all that you can. Buy large quantities of sodium bicarbonate, Nascent Iodine, Lugol’s Iodine, organic sulfur, a whole-food source of vitamin C, Edible and Bentonite Clay,  and natural cannabinoid medicines along with zeolites.

For survival super food I was recommend Rejuvenate, which is a wonderfully good tasting spirulina/chlorella formula. All of these substances will help ward off the radioactive contamination. Read my e-books on Nuclear Toxicity Syndrome, Sodium Bicarbonate, Iodine and my book Transdermal Magnesium Therapy to learn how to use these relatively inexpensive widely available (in the first world) medicinals.

But remember the first law of detoxification and chelation is to avoid exposure whenever possible. That is getting increasingly hard to do. And this is why we all need courage as we head into nuclear headwinds that are threatening all of us increasingly. And now runs on the banks of Greece and now Spain have begun threatening us not with a nuclear fire at Fukushima but a fire that will burn through the entire international banking system. Did I mention that the above protocol is perfect for stress?
