Several years ago, famed cardiologist Dr. William Davis made a startling discovery. The doctor had contracted Type 2 diabetes, a disease that can eventually lead to blindness, amputations, and death. He knew the current treatments for Type 2 diabetes do not cure the malady, only manage some of the symptoms. Even strict diets often recommended by physicians and hospital dieticians fall far short of effectively halting and reversing the disease.

Many of the answers can be found in the over-consumption of wheat that’s present in all the obvious foods like bread,cereals and pasta, but also often hidden inside the ingredients of many packaged foods.

Davis, the author of Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health, a NY Times bestseller, discovered that a compound present in all wheat raises blood sugar dramatically. After decades, steady ingestion of the deadly compound tends to damage the function of the liver. It becomes overloaded and taxed constantly working to balance the imblance of rising blood sugar levels. That leads directly to Type 2 diabetes.

The compound is called Amylopectin A, a complex carbohydrate assimilated rapidly.

Two slices of bread equals six teaspoons of sugar.

According to Davis, two slices of whole wheat bread convert to the equivalent of six teaspoons of sugar. The blood sugar level rises more than eating a chocolate bar.


Popular San Francisco nutritionist and personal trainer Caitlin has compiled an informative list of 12 reasons why you should eliminate wheat bread from your diet, or at least consider significantly reducing your consumption of it.

Caitlin herself benefited from the advice she shares with her clients. She lost 80 pounds back in 2001 and has kept it off for more than 10 years.

Wheat’s 12 significant dangers

Other than her finding that wheat can trigger heartburn and disrupt the entire digestive system, her research also revealed:

Too much wheat affects cholesterol levels.

It tends to stimulate excess female hormones while reducing testosterone in men, effectively feminizing them.

Wheat consumption leads to a dangerous increase in belly fat that can trigger heart attacks.

The grain contains lectins, a poisonous substance that damages the small intestines.

It interferes with the brain’s neurotransmitter production (like serotonin) by disrupting the small intestine and resulting in bouts of depression, fits of ongoing rage and creating acute anxiety in many people.

  • Its not Wheat or Rice or Bread or soda or sugar or junk food…The body has amazing abilities to recover..Its the freaking chem trails that slowly kills the immune system and you become vulnerable to whatever you eat PLUS the gigantic space weapons and nuclear warheads up in sky that is leaking radiation down to the earth all the time is the cause of all these diseases.

    These semi-alternative articles does not address the real problems but helps in diverting the attention from real cause and maintain status quo for the elite.

    • Wheat has changed significantly in the last 75 years. Its ALL GMO now and non-organic. This is what HAS changed in eons. Connect some dots before trying to open your mouth. You’ll seem smarter.

  • This was presented by a research doctor, not a conspiracy nut job. Should we scoff off everything research is telling us? No. Wheat/glutins have been in the news for several years showing us that even small consumption amounts are not good for us.

    As for chemtrails and other chemicals, we are still living beyond the ripe old age of 40 that few of our ancestors reached. Sure, it’s been proven we have been used as guinea pigs in the past and I doubt that will ever stop in the name of science or brutal g’mint policy on it’s own people.

  • Wheat and grains in general are difficult for the body to digest properly — even organic. They contain anti-nutrients. The solution is to sprout the wheat.

    Our ancestors and pre-industrialized peoples soaked or fermented their grains. The most basic dishes consumed by indigenous groups all over the world involve a soaking or fermentation process. We, of the Standard American Diet (SAD), don’t do this step because it’s inconvenient and time consuming. Food manufacturers don’t want to deal with this step — profit is their measure of “good for you” and “wholesome”.

    All grains contain phytic acid, an organic acid in which phosphorous is bound. Untreated phytic acid combines with minerals and blocks their absorption. This is why a diet high in grains can lead to mineral deficiencies and bone loss. Soaking allow enzymes, lactobacilli and other beneficial organisms to break down and neutralize phytic acid. Soaking neutralizes enzyme inhibitors present in all seeds and nuts as well. When enzyme action is present, the touted B Vitamins for which bread is famous for will increase.

    Soaking will also increase the protein content ! Sprouted sourdough whole wheat bread will do the job. Whole rice and millet are much lower in phytate acids, so they don’t need treatment.

    If we had four stomachs and longer intestines and ruminated every mouthful, we might get away with eating grains without soaking them. But here we are, human beings to the nth.

    All you have to do is plan ahead a bit. If you want oatmeal in the morning, soak it in water overnight. It will cook even quicker ! (Oats soaked in buttermilk overnight make de-e-e-elicious pancakes!) There are some companies that sprout the wheat but they have not yet perfected the process so that it doesn’t seem like eating cardboard.

    Quinoa and buckwheat are not technically grains but are seeds of herbs. Quinoa needs to be soaked. Buckwheat doesn’t.

    Do some research. There are organizations that have tested extensively which are not bought and paid for by Big Ag, Big Food or Big Pharma.

    You can sprout your grains and eat them too. :wink:

    • Phosphorous acid is also found in coka cola. Though a quick way to regain mineralization… is to eat clay, or dates… or any other alkaline based food, or bicarbonate soda.

    • At some point consuming grains that are not sprouted will eventually lead to debilitating diseases and even affect the next generation’s health through malnutrition. Many people in crippling diseased states get relief simply by cutting bread out of their diet. Some people are more prone to problems with bread — GM aside.

      Real whole and nourishing foods are by far more expensive and/or time-consuming to prepare. The convenient foods that are offered to accommodate our fast food mentality are killing us. Foods have historically been used to cure our diseases. Now poorly prepared, they cause our diseases.

  • In America its not just wheat products killing us. GMO foods and pesticides, fast food restaurants and their super size me (pun intended) grease and salt laden garbage, microwaving, and the infamous all you can eat buffets contribute greatly to our sickness. The list goes on but I stop here as its making me sick. Stay away from the wheat though. Sorry to say our food isn’t real food anymore. Have a garden in your yard and get arrested.

  • One would think that since man has been eating grains for millenia, that our bodies could handle it. But the past decades have seen our bodies assaulted by chemicals on a consistent basis that they were never designed to deal with. That, plus the over-use of anti-biotics and nutrient-deficient foods, have impaired our immune systems to the point that many of us cannot filter things anymore, nor handle tougher-to-digest things that our ancestors had no problem with. I’m in the process of rebuilding my digestive system; years of eating “healthy” whole grains was part of the problem.

    This wheat thing is a globalist joke. I ate bread when a kid like no tomorrow and 60 years later I still live. Everything is killing people one way or another now days. I drank beer for years and never felt better, that is till I stopped drinking it and than my health took a dump.

  • Another thing that has us all constipated and infested is the fact that bread, no matter what grain it’s made from, is packaged while it’s still moist into a sealed plastic bag. This allows for mold to grow and form on the bread before you even buy it from your local grocery store. While you cannot see the small spores of mold on the bread when you buy it, it definitely gets into your intestines and forms a large mass of mold.
    If you want, try to buy some organic apple cider vinegar and mix one table spoon to a cup of water, then drink it slowly over a period of about an hour. If you’re a heavy bread eater, I guarantee that your second crap (bm) after drinking this solution, will be a mass of green mold……GUARANTEED. Actually, it may even be your first B.M. Prove me wrong!!!!

    • Having Crohn’s disease, I might want to suggest to others though, doing a clean out with apple cider vinegar or some other such remedy is not something you should do on a regular basis. There are benificials within your intestinal tract that are needed to maintain proper function. When you do a clean out, these benificials wash away along with the bad and you can upset the balance of your system to the point of doing it more harm than good if you aren’t careful. I have known some people that started these “super clean out” weekly programs and then end up either having to follow them constantly because their bodies stop working on their own or even worse, they end up in the hospital, with serious problems.

      Yes, wheats as a food group can be bad for you and build up in your intestines, but only if you are not eating the proper amount of fiber to go with it. The people of yesterday didn’t have the problems we have today because they ate more fresh fruits and veggies than we do today, less processed items. When they sat down to a meal there was 2 to 3 veggies to 1 small helping of meat and startch. Most everything was made from scratch. If they lived on a farm, many times the flour and corn meal was ground themselves, butter churned, milk fresh from the cow. Even city folks had fresh dairy milk and butter, not processed. For snacks, kids grabbed an apple on the way out the door to play if chores were done. Home baked cookies or cake was a special treat. Amazing, kids didn’t deal with obesity then much, hmm…..

      Today, they shut down “organic” or “fresh farms” because they aren’t healthy for us. Mom and pop fresh produce stands get shut down all the time, either no permit or veggies too hot. They were on the vine just as hot! Try to grow a garden, they hit you with a fine for collecting rain water or for giving away your extras to the people next door. We’ve all heard the stories and then wonder what are we to do to stay away from the processed food they shove down our throats? Their solution is “need more fiber? try metamucil!” That’s not the answer. Real foods are, real, fresh, foods are what we need. I got sick of the big box stores telling me “if they don’t have it, I don’t need it”. I was tired of their “fresh fruits and veggies” that were picked 2 years ago and have been in a gassed state till needed.

      I started looking for local farmers markets. Every city has them, even small ones. If there isn’t one close by, it’s worth the time to take a drive once a month or so and stock up. Bring them home and freeze or can them. I don’t buy from the big named produce outfits either, I buy from the small farmer, it keeps them in business and they get to know you. After a awhile, they start holding the best stuff back for you when they know to expect you! I say this and I hate cooked veggies! Not just a few, but all of them, except corn. You know, the worst one for you. But, I’ll eat them in a salad. Mind you, not just any salad. My greens have to be baby spinach and kale, I want tomatoes, cucs, eggs, olives, parsley, chives, berries, if it’s in the house, it’s in my salad! That’s how I get my fiber, plus I eat low acid fruit, alot of it. When my husband and I sit down to eat, if I cook him veggies, which he loves them all, I’ll eat fruit in their place. So I shop for fresh and to can or freeze. Canning has become so simplified now, a small batch here, a small batch there… Same with freezing, before you know it, the season is gone and your stocked up thru the winter!

      When I say I have Crohn’s diease, I have moderate to severe semi-controlled. I give myself shots every 2 weeks and still have issues. They are concidering putting my on blood infusions at this time. The point I’m trying to make is I have changed my diet drastically over the years because of my intestines. I have done food diary’s where I’ve logged every food I’ve ate and what happened afterwards. Wheat products play a heavy part in MY problems, but so does red meat. I’ve found the safe meats for ME are fish and chicken, however lately, chicken not so much anymore. Most things with high counts of wheat cause severe cramping, enough that I limit my intake considerably. Every person is different and their body is different too. So, just because someone comes out and says research says stay away from… or this is bad for you because… well you get the picture, doesn’t mean you have to go thru and throw everything away in the kitchen cabinets that contain wheat. If we stayed away from everything they told us to we’d be living on water alone. Oh, wait, thats not good for you either unless you have it filtered, fluoride! Get the picture. Everything in moderation. We have to eat what we keeps us healthy but also what keeps us happy and comforted. Be well!

      • The problem with meats is how the animals are treated and what they are fed — grains and soy to fatten them up — the same stuff they are trying to shove down our throats as wholesome, natural and goodforyou. Unless your meat is free range, grass fed beef and poultry or wild fish, you may be sensitive to what the animal has been eating. We are eating unhealthy meats otherwise !

        Animals crowded into feedlots, small barns, pens and pools are pumped full of antibiotics because the animals are diseased. There is plenty of room to spread animals out for free range but it takes down the profit of Big Agra and Big Food.

      • W.Willow I couldn’t agree with you more. Turning 50 next month, I sometimes think I was born several decades too late. I’ve always had the mindset of people of yesterday, even as a child. I prefer the simple way of life. Today, it’s made too difficult for people to go back to the basics. TPTB have designed it so everyone is so dependent on mass production of everything; food, clothes, houses, electricity, water, the list just continues that people can no longer fend for themselves. Those few that do are labeled as crazy or prepper or are shunned by their peers. When in fact we are the ones who realize the damage most of this mass production is causing, not just our bodies but our whole way of life. One just needs to look around to see the evidence plain as day.

        I read an article a few years ago, wish I kept it, that said McDonalds was the No. 1 cause of the mass production in our beef, chicken, and potatoes. It also stated because of them, and others afterwards, wanting bigger and faster output is what lead to all the antibiotics, fillers and mass grains, hormones, etc., our meat is now filled with. Fast food helped destroy the little farmers because they wanted bigger and faster product to market to handle the overwhelming demand of the population eating their product in their stores. The article was talking about the history of fast foods, from the very start, and the effect on farmers and the public. Very interesting, sure wish I kept a copy.

        It’s always about money. No matter what the issue, the bottom line is money. We, the little people, are just another comodity, to be traded on the stock exchange like any other stock or rounded up like the very cattle we eat. The only difference is we have a voice, so they pretend to let us have a say, but when it comes down to it, push comes to shove, TPTB will choose their payday over us 9 out of 10 times (and that was being nice).

        Best we can hope for is a nice little patch of land, grow and raise our own, live day by day in peace till it’s our time to meet our Lord. If that’s not possible, go to the farmers market and try the small butchers shop too. If you’re lucky, you can find one that gets fresh meat from a small farm, not some big named outfit. We can only do what we can only do because it just it is what it is! They we need to pray that it’s enough.

    Wow! I love blogs. Thanks everyone. Alot of the problems in modern diet stem from the imbalance of omega 3 and 6 which both compete for the same dietary building blocks. Things like processed flour and vegetable oils tend to contain Omega6. Too much O6 causes our immune systems to go into overdrive and causes allergies and things like rheumatoid arthritis, hayfever and other inflammation based symptoms. I used to suffer terribly from hayfever for several years. I decided to remove flour and wheat based products from my diet totally, which was difficult at first, but not that difficult. Guess what? No more hayfever. Gone completely. I can mow the grass in summer and no rashes, no sneezing, no itchy red eyes. A vege garden is more important to health than money. So quit worrying about your job and plunge your fingers into the earth and feel the love. Plant some seeds, grow them lovingly and eat them with gratitude.
