Dr. H. J. Roberts author of “Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic”, www.sunsentpress.com has written about aspartame and fibromyalgia for years.  He calls its a junkbucket diagnosis.  Aspartame hardens the synovial fluids, and the toxic breakdown products causes agonizing joint pain.  Norma Vera, translator, told me studies on aspartame were done in 6 countries by G. D. Searle and never published.  She said they used people in poor villages that would not be missed.  Some developed seizures  and some brain tumors.  The pregnant woman lost her baby, hemorrhaged and disappeared.  These studies she said proved aspartame hardens the synovial fluids.  Some died. They were done around 1983/84.  In 1985 G. D. Searle sold NutraSweet to Monsanto.  Monsanto sold most  of NutraSweet to Ajinomoto.  Part is also owned by Merisant and Child’s.

A study at the University of Florida some years ago on aspartame and fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue showed that when aspartame and MSG were removed fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue disappeared.
