Why, thank you! Bless you for that

That’s actually my preferred juice combo already! Sometimes I add parsley, spinach, pinapple, celery, etc but I find the beetroot/carrpt/apple combo is quite sweet & delicious on it’s own. I also drink a lot of purified water with organic lime juice, it’s so refreshing! When you have a fresh juice you can really feel the goodness it’s the best thing ever!

Nothing works against corexit. It blows in every S.W. wind here in West Florida. We eat it in our seafood. It has spread up the east coast to Maine and beyond. Where are the environmentalists now? It makes the tourists sick, but they get to leave.NOAA says it is red tide. NOAA gets its orders from the U.N. Think about that next time you get a fish sandwich 500 miles from the sea.

      I need that juice!

      There are no miracle drinks.

Juice Beet Root, Carrot, apple, ginger, and add to a blender
Add ice, raw honey, bee pollen, Chi seeds, klamath lake algae. Blend till a nice smoothy texture, try that once a day for two weeks and see how you feel.
Add any organic frozen fruit to taste!!

I’ve read that all the regular sugar is now GMO…which is derived from beet sugar.

Does anyone know whether non GMO beet root be gotten anywhere ?

Hey Cap! I’m not sure why anyone would have marked your comment as SPAM but they did, along with a bunch of other good comments on this story. Sorry Kris, this isn’t spam, it’s a valid comment as are the others.

As for non-GMO beet root for sweetening purposes, I cannot answer that specific question but as for alternative sweetener products, use Stevia. I’ve been using it daily for over a year now and love it; haven’t had a soda, sugar or anything high fructose corn syrup since last April. Another great alternative is HONEY; my favorite is Manuka but it’s a bit expensive for merely sweetening but there are plenty of excellent alternatives. I’d go with something organic from the South American jungle to stay away from this mess we’ve created here in North America. Peace…

There are a few spots to get non GMO beet root, but its a bit of a hassle to get sometimes.
We found some organic evaporated cane juice…. “Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Sugar”
They are putting out large list or what I think your looking for, we first spotted it at Costco, good luck!

I think most sugars used in processed foods in the US uses GMO beet sugar. I stay away from the big commercial food producers. Have you tried coconut sugar? It is suppose to be lower on the glycemic index and I am told tastes good.

I juice everyday if I have time and we put beets in it. It’s time consuming to get organic as possible vegetables and fruits but kind of fun too. I recommend everyone pick up a used juicer on craigslist and start yourselves.

        • Se777en

So, you’re claiming that the sugar I buy at the grocery store that says “Pure Cane Sugar” isn’t cane sugar, but beet sugar instead?

        • Fred C Dobbs

No Se777en that is pure cane sugar. What I meant was processed foods like candies made in America are using GMO beet sugar.

Wife has been using this formula and adding Kale, celery and cucumber to the recipe for several years now to treat Hepatitis C strain 1A. 8 years ago her Virologist said she had months to live unless she underwent treatment with Interferon. Her viral load is down by 200k and her ALTs and ASTs are down. Fibrosis has seemingly stopped! She went from a stage 4 to a stage 2. If you have Hep C, please avoid Interferon. She also is taking an herbal supplement called Hepa-trope which directly affects the liver.

what the hell is a beet “root”.

      • Unconvinced

Not only is beetroot great for boosting stamina and making muscles work harder, it also contains potassium, magnesium and iron as well as vitamins A, B6 and C, and folic acid. Beets also contain carbohydrates, protein, powerful antioxidants and soluble fibre. Just google the health benefits and be amazed

      • Unconvinced

Not so new – beetroot is well known since time immemorial. Beetroot, botanically-known as Beta vulgaris, evolved from wild seabeet, which is a native of coastlines from India to Britain and is the ancestor of all cultivated forms of beet. Sea beet was first domesticated in the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East – although it was only the leaves that were eaten at that time.

Beetroot was offered to Apollo in his temple at Delphi, where it was reckoned to be worth its own weight in silver!  The Romans began to cultivate it in earnest, and early recipes included cooking it with honey and wine.   Apicius, the renowned Roman gourmet, included beetroot in recipes for broths and even recommended making it into a salad with a dressing of mustard, oil and vinegar in his book ‘The Art of Cooking’.

In early times, the medicinal properties of the root were more important than its eating qualities and it was used to treat a range of ailments including fevers, constipation, wounds and various skin problems.  At that time, the roots were long and thin like a carrot. The rounded root shape that we are familiar with today was not developed until the sixteenth century and became widely popular in Central and Eastern Europe 200 years later. Many classic beetroot dishes originated in this region including the famous beetroot soup, known as borsch.

Beetroot continued to grow in popularity in Victorian times, when its dramatic colour brightened up salads and soups.  It was also used as a sweet ingredient in cakes and puddings. A wide range of varieties was available, including “Rouge Crapaudine” and “Mr Crosby’s Egyptian”. The plants were even used as decorative bedding because of their attractive green leaves.  At this time, beetroot was still mainly grown as a winter root vegetable. More recently smaller, more tender, ‘baby’ summer-grown beetroots have been developed.

After World War II, pickled beetroot in jars was the most widely available form of the vegetable but the vinegars could be strong and harsh – enough to put many people off beetroot for life!

Beetroots come in all shapes and sizes but the most common is round and deep red in colour. Other varieties are yellow, white, and even candy-striped (with red and white concentric circles). The humble beetroot is sweet, earthy and tender to eat and related to the turnip, swede and sugar beet.

It’s the beetroot – amazing health benefits and it has convinced even me! Watch it on twitter – people love it: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23beetroot
However, make sure you use organic products only as otherwise it can do more harm than good!

      • Cap-Z-ro

Thanks for the helpful replies guys…but I do not think it is sugar that is needed for the miracle drink to be effective…it seems to me that it is the actual properties of root of the beet itself that is needed.

I think a search for organic beet root is in order.

Re the sugar though…I buy organic cane sugar.
