Slightly misleading. The results are from use of sulforaphane, a compound released when the plant is damaged. The results shown did not occur from consumption of broccoli, but rather the application of sulforaphane. This is good medicine and good science and the distinction is important.
This is similar to acetylsalicylic acid derived from white willow bark. The compound was identified, extracted, and synthesized. Surely you would not recommend people chew tree bark for a headache. Not to mention, the compound is in phase II clinical trials. It’s more likely that the company is attempting to patent the product and gain astroturf support by producing these videos or paying people who do.
