SALT IS GOOD

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Salt is biblically important, both metaphorically and sacrificially. Why did this simple substance get a bad name over the past several decades?

After all, the Bible instructs us to salt our food. “And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer The Salt of The Covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt” (Leviticus 2:13). Salt makes food appetizing. They even knew this back in the day. “Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there [any] taste in the white of an egg?” (Job 6:6).

When animal sacrifice was performed back then, Father instructed that the meat be salted, as in the above Leviticus scripture, and again in Ezekiel 43:24,” And thou shalt offer them before the “I AM”, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up [for] a burnt offering unto the [I AM].” Jesus even instructed us to salt our food, which is an offering to the body which houses the soul connected to Father. “For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.” (Mark 9:49).

Salt is important to Father. He called the People Israel the “Salt of the Earth”. They are the salt of the Earth when they faithfully keep His Law and obey Him. It is that keeping power which not only maintains the “Salt” at its freshest and best, but also that the pure and unspotted “Salt” helps to preserve them from corruption and to receive His blessings. “Ought ye not to know that the [I AM] God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, [even] to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?” (2 Chronicles 13:5). Thus, when Jesus referred to salt, He was also speaking methaphorically, “Salt [is] good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.” (Mark 9:50).

Salt is a purifier, even metaphorically, “Let your speech [be] always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:6). When we speak, we should offer pure, honest words to others and help guide them using God’s Law and keeping the Covenant. It is this keeping that implies Life, freshness and purity. When we do not keep The Law and do not remain faithful, we are just dead pillars of salt. “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” (Matthew 5:13). We must not look back, and hold true to faith that we are being divinely guided. If not, we allow men to stomp on us and deceive us with their pretty little lies.

This is why I’m questioning the idea that now “salt is bad”. Should we trust experts when they tell us fluoride is good; vaccines are vital; antibiotics are essential; and genetically-modified is safe? I’m sure research exists out there that proves too much salt is bad, but which salt does the research refer to, natural-salt from God like sea salt or science-salt from man like table salt? When God referred to salting food, He meant His. Man decided to make a “replacement” salt, by refining, processing, and bleaching it in high temperatures and adding anti-caking agents to it like sodium aluminosilicate, sodium ferrocyanide, potassium ferrocyanide. It’s the science-salt. It is this bad salt that is used in processing for canning foods and it’s most likely this science-salt that is harmful to human bodies, as well as all the processing our food goes through. Natural, unrefined salt is “salt” which retains its mineral content.

The human body needs salt; it’s an electrolyte and helps the body stay hydrated and plays a vital role in cell function. Bodies need to maintain a proper pH balance. When it is more alkaline, it stays healthier. When it is more acidic, it decays. Salt helps bring the body to a proper pH alkaline balance so that it performs better. All the processed foods keep the body acidic, which causes all kinds of health problems. Which makes one ask, “Do they want us to stay healthy?” or even “Are they trying to kill us?” If salting our food was instructed to do by Father, why was it changed, then deemed bad? He also told us not to eat animal fat or its blood, because toxins are stored in them. But that seems to be on our diets as well, and our bodies absorb those toxins and do not stay healthy.

Because Father created these human bodies, He knew what would keep them healthy; that’s why He told us about what foods are good and bad in Deuteronomy, Chapter 14. Natural salt should not be that hard to find. It’s not going to be all white, shiny and fine; it’s going to have moisture and some color. Sprinkling your food with salt before consuming it is Biblical. Do some of your own research about salt and the health benefits of natural salt and its role in keeping the body hydrated as well as alkaline-based. And do research about what they are adding to their science-salt, and calling it all fine and safe.

Yes, it in REFINED salt that is bad. Micro-salt, etc.

Buy unprocessed salt and use it and stay away from processed, canned or refined food loaded with FAKE salt.

Natural salt is good. The refined adulterated crap that passes as table salt, is definitely not.

“When animal sacrifice was performed back then,..”

Barbaric animal sacrifices still take place amongst Jews and Muslims. Salting meat preserves it, there would be no point if it was going to be burnt. Also back in the day salt was a very expensive commodity, most being collected from evaporated sea water and not something that would be used in such a wasteful way. In comparison it would like claiming priests sprinkle the offerings with gold dust or precious gems before burning them.
