Prescription Drugs Now Kill More People In The US Than Cocaine And Heroin Combined

Prescription opioid painkillers are responsible for more fatal overdoses in the U.S. than heroin and cocaine combined, according to a new study out of Brandeis University.

Opioid painkillers include prescription narcotics such as like Vicodin (hydrocodone), OxyContin (oxycodone), Opana (oxymorphone) and methodone.

I have seen or been to many doctors who are nothing more than a glorified drug dealer. Pills solve everything is their motto and drug addiction is the mark theyleaveon their patients. I had a girlfriend once whose mother was addicted to methodone. She wason methodone in the first place to get off of vicodin. She was a mess, never straight, always ‘high’ if you will. She had terrible mood swings and was just never in a good mood and when she was she acted more like if she had been drinking booze and was drunk. So what do we do about this epidemic? How does a society fix a problem that is legal? The so called war on drugs doesn’t even touch this stuff for the most part. Thoughts? -Mort

Then end all prescription drugs. Let all the diabetics and sick people who need them just die. That sounds like a reasonable solution.
