R.I.P. Papa Smurf
Paul Karason passed away last week. Paul used to have a normal skin with some freckles until he started turning blue about 20 years ago. Paul got really famous after he turned blue and had earned himself the nickname “Papa Smurf”.
You wouldn’t expect it maybe but Paul was relatively healthy despite his bad looking blue skin. I mean we are not talking light blue here. we are talking a dark blue that looks absolutely stunning and unreal even!
I say relatively because Paul had some serious illnesses, but whenever he appeared on TV-shows he made a very alert and very normal impression. Sadly, Paul passed away last week after suffering a heart-attack.
How did Paul turn blue?
A notorious treatment for many health-problems is drinking colloidal silver. Colloidal silver is made with real silver, water and an electric current. It is believed to cure a lot of medical issues but as you can see below, it has some pretty nasty side effects!
Paul had a lot of stress in his life and was suffering from bad skin problems because of that, about 20 years ago. Desperate as he was, Paul decided to take it a step further and rub the colloidal silver extraction on his face. As you can tell, that didn’t end very well for Paul.
Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver has been banned by the FDA now because it has skin-dyeing properties. It is still legal in many countries but Paul’s case has been the most extreme case documented so far. The amount of colloidal Silver ingested by ‘The Blue Man Group’ is not documented.
Paul and his skin desease have earned him the number 4 spot in the video below. You can see a little more of Paul in the video as well. I have to warn you though that some of the other skin diseases are very graphic so if you have a weak stomach then I suggest you just move on to the next article. The video lists the top 5 worst skin diseases and it made me realize personally that Paul could have been off worse…
