Water Fasting Miracles: Helps With Schizophrenia, Asthma, And Fibromyalgia.

Water fasting has been practiced for many years either through a religious practice or for cleansing of the body. Water fasting can detox the body, improve eyesight, increase mental clarity, and leave you more flexible. I have water fasted for up to four days total. That’s not very long at all but my mission is to water fast until my body gives my signs to stop the fast. My first water fast was hard on third day espicially and I craved peanut butter all the time when I was fasting. I actually that’s why I failed at fasting longer because I ended up caving in and eating peanut butter after each of my four day water fasts. BTW: Don’t ever eat solid food after you water fast…you will feel real awful later. I noticed though that I felt relaxed, more at ease, and my back pain seemed to feel a little bit better after the first three days of fasting. Iv’e decided that I’m going to water fast again for not only weight loss benefits but detox benefits as well. My main reason for water fasting is to detox my body and get everything balanced. After I’m done with the water fast I’m going to start a juice fast.

During fasting the body moves into the same kind of detoxification cycle that it normally enters during sleep. It uses its energy during a fast, not for digesting food, but for cleansing the body of accumulated toxins and healing any parts of it that are ill. As a fast progresses the body consumes everything that it can that is not essential to bodily functioning. This includes bacteria, viruses, fibroid tumors, waste products in the blood, any build up around the joints, and stored fat. The historical record indicates that human beings are evolutionarily designed to fast. It is an incredibly safe approach to healing and the body knows how to do it very well (gaianstudies para 1).

I probably should have water fasted way longer than four days in the past because the real changes start occuring on the fourth day. For the first two days your body switches from using glucose as an energy source to ketosis (using fat as fuel) that’s where the real magic happens. Your body starts burning excess fat, release toxins, and dramatically increasing mental vigor and clarity. On the seventh day of water fasting is where the maximum breakdown of fat tissue occurs. The tenth day is really where it peaks at breaking down fatty tissue. If you have ever heard of The Master Cleanse it suggests doing a ten day water fast because that’s a good amount of time for the body to switch over to a new energy source and break down fat. A lot fo celebritys have used the master cleanse and so have I….for about four days…so far. Their have been studies on water fasting helping osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Along with joint pain and stiffness. My back has literally been killing me for the past two weeks and I can hardly take the pain anymore. So Iv’e decided to water fast to get rid of my back pain while religiously applying tiger balm and arnica gel to my back daily.

Other diseases that have responded to fasting are: psychosomatic disease, neurogenic bladder, psoriasis, eczema, thrombophlebitis, varicose ulcers, fibromyalgia, neurocirculatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, bronchial asthma, lumbago, depression, neurosis, schizophrenia, duodenal ulcers, uterine fibroids, intestinal parasites, gout, allergies, hay fever, hives, multiple sclerosis, and insomnia.

Although fasting has wonderful benefits these individuals that have these things listed below should not do water fasting:

People who are extremely emaciated or in a state of starvation,  Those who are anorexic or bulemic, Pregnant, diabetic women, Nursing mothers, Those who have severe anemia, Those with porphyria. Porphyria refers to a genetic metabolic defect that affects the body’s ability to manage porphyrins.

Today I am starting my water fasting journey. I don’t know how long I will do it for but I know I will do it for at least 10 days.

      I would add a warning to this concept, I offer my understanding from first hand.

      I have always drank very little water, ironically I drink more coffee then I do any thing other.

      Not drinking water is not good to do unless you have a good understanding of your biology, a understanding of the body’s chemistry, and energy. water is critical for the brain and nervous systems to work efficiently and properly. Not drinking water is NOT recommended for any one on any kind of medication, be it diabetic injection, to the common cold medication.

      also if your typical daily diet consisted of solid foods that where more then a fists full, then you should not even consider water fasting for some time after not eating. example to fast on water you would first have to fast on food for no less then 4 days for the athletic type, to 2 weeks for the not so athletic. this will give the time necessary for the no less then five and upto 14+ pounds of excrement left hanging around in the gut to be ejected by the gut (caution this is also the lining of the gut), fasting while having excrement in your intestinal can lead to damages and deeper toxification to not only the body, but the brain, hart and lungs, this damage starts to occur the first day with out water, the beginning of the detox, however one can not detox when still full of toxic waste.

      A key to the body’s longevity is actual physical activity as this is the only true means of detoxification. One must sweat by physical activity, the steam room or better external heat will not cut it. however note that if dehydrated and exercising you do in fact risk injury, when living on a minimal intake of water the easiest way to know if your becoming dehydrated is by the lips, if you notice they are beginning to dry and chap, you are becoming dehydrated, this is a good indication that your close to causing damage to your internal organs, including there stability, physiologically, and mentally.

      Its interesting how the body works, the average human being can sustain a more healthy and productive life on just a hand full or two of food a day and very little water, ironic how the body can adapt in time so that this is more then enough leaving one feeling satisfied when only taking in what is required, this in agreement to your statements that we know because we crave.

      Less toxin more energy. There are also major benefits to energy, mainly the energy not used for digestion of heavy foods. Best time to eat is when you will be active still afterward, not before bed, unless your body needs fat, again something by ones self knowledge.

      know befor wator fasting:

      A: Self knowledge of once body, biology, and chemistry, an over all physical, and psychological stability as water deprivation can affect both quite devastatingly.

      B: No POOP.

      The only change in the diet is to note what you crave, and then take note of what’s being craved from with in it, be it Fat, sugar, protein, minerals, vitamins, and other necessities all craved by the body when needed. Consider you don’t fill your windshield washer fluid every time you put gas in your car, nor do you put gas only when you get an oil change, no it’s done when necessary, thus things run more efficiently..

      PS: the pain tolerance is greatly effected, mainly because of less inflammation, not only by injury, but by the intoxication of eating, and drinking alone. Just my two cents. :neutral:

      There’s a reason why water fasting affects so many conditions and diseases favorably: hidden food and chemical intolerances and allergies. Everything that affects our body has to come from the outside-in. The body is made up of completely closed systems except for three which has access to outside variables: the digestive system, the respiratory system, and the skin. The main one that affects people the most is the digestive system. Since everyone is built differently, there are people who cannot handle certain foods or food groups the same as others. Sometimes the body sees these foods as a toxin and will increase stress hormones, fat production and inflammation as a way to deal with these ‘toxins’ that they are eating every day of their lives (most food intolerances are foods that are commonly eaten or found in processed foods such as milk products, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, yeast and others).

      As you said, it takes 4 days for the body to completely eliminate all traces of these foods from the body so real healing begins to take place on and after the 4th day of fasting from these foods.

      There are ways to identify which foods make you feel sick or exacerbate ongoing conditions (and thereby indicate potential food intolerances). First write down any health issues you are struggling with or just anything outside the ordinary and which causes are unexplained (such as skin conditions, bladder/kidney problems, stomach and gut issues such as bloating, soreness after eating, gas, etc, brittle, splitting nails, and etc. After a water fast of at least 4 days, note any positive changes in the aforementioned health concerns. Begin to introduce fruit and veggie juices as these are less likely to trigger intolerances, although it is a possibility. When you begin to introduce solid foods, deliberately exclude the food group or specific food you want to test for a period of at least 1 week. After the exclusion time is passed, reintroduce that food at least once per day for at least 3-4 days in a portion that would be normally eaten and observe any changes in how you feel or your body functions and if any health concerns flare up or change for the worse. If the food that you had eliminated makes you feel worse or exacerbates issues in 3-4 days of eating it, it is a food intolerance. If your health concerns start flaring up in the week you have introduced solid food again, but before you reintroduce the excluded food/food group, you are reacting to something else you did not exclude and another test must be done.

      You can also perform these tests without fasting by simply excluding a food or food group you want to test for at least a week and preferably for two weeks since again, it will take 4 days before the body even begins to start healing. If you are eating a varied diet, there are plenty of ways to get vitamins and minerals, so there is no danger of excluding a food or food group for a period of only two weeks.
