Ebola Strikes Again: Second Person Suspected Of Ebola Virus Under Watch, Dallas TX

CDC and Texas Health officials are closely monitoring a possible second Ebola patient who had close contact with the first Ebola patient to be diagnosed in the U.S., the director of Dallas County’s health department said Wednesday.
Everyone who had been in close contact with the diagnosed patient are being monitored as a precaution, said Zachary Thompson, director of Dallas County Health and Human Services.
“Let me be real frank to the Dallas County residents: The fact that we have one confirmed case, there may be another case that is a close associate with this particular patient,” he said. “So this is real. There should be a concern, but it’s contained to the specific family members and close friends at this moment.”
The director continued to assure residents that the public isn’t at risk because health officials have the virus contained. Does this reassurance make you feel secure?
Ebola symptoms can include fever, muscle pain, vomiting and bleeding and can appear as long as 21 days after exposure to the virus. The disease is not contagious until symptoms begin, and it takes close contact with bodily fluids to spread.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry and the state’s health director, David Lakey, will have a noon CT press conference at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital here to address the diagnosis.

I would imagine we will have ALOT of Ebola patients. After all we brought our missionary doctors who contracted it there back here and cured them. CURED them. Had they stayed there…they would have died. What message did that send?

I have some information everyone should know. And then some questions everyone should keep in mind on this subject.
First. The patient (Mr. Duncan) is a Liberian national. Now, does than mean that he has lived here in the states for years and is applying for citizenship? Does he live and work here Or was he visiting? And most importantly…. Does he have health insurance here?
Second Texas is HOT this time of year and this man was walking around with symptoms (infectious) for approximately six days.
You should be AWARE that EBOLA CAN be spread through SWEAT!
Also…..This is where my gripe about our healthcare system comes into play. “If you don’t have MONEY or INSURANCE you don’t get treatment.”
Well…in this case….it sent an infectious EBOLA patient into the community. PAY over PRUDENCE may have just started an epidemic…..As I said…it’s HOT in Texas and ebola can be spread by sweat. That man was infectious and loose in the community for six days……
