Why I Paint So Much

I have NEVER had money. I have always been poor. Now I am disabled, not able to do my work(landscaper) for a living anymore, so what little money I have must go a long way. With paint you can change almost everything! You can change a room, a piece of furniture, the feel of a home etc. It’s a magical thing! Paint can be found at every price point, even down to free, if you know where too look! I get my paints at Lowes(full price and mark down for mistints), at the city dump recycling center for free! Some of my paint comes from JoAnn’s craft. Just make sure you are using the right paint for the right job, I have made those mistakes before! If you make a mistake in painting, the worst that can happen is you have to paint it again……………..harmless and cheap! I say the only rules are researching so you use the correct paint for the job, otherwise, be free, have fun, experiment! I have had to learn to adapt all I do in my life because the limitations of my illness. I can no longer work for hrs, or even an hr at a time, and work hard. I have adapted so I am NOT limited to not being able to do the things I want to do, I do things sitting down and in 15-20 segments, sometimes ever shorter segments and then rest between……………takes longer, but you are doing it! Youtube and the internet are wonderful tools! I can learn how to do almost anything online! Meaning, I can be more independent. This is also why I do this blog and make YT videos, to help others do the same. So what if you are single, divorced, have a chronic illness, have no help, F the world! Oh sorry for the out burst, but we can do anything! Ok, almost anything we set our mind to. I do have payback for anything I do, so I do as much as I can while I am able then I hit the exhaustion wall and am down in bed…………………….then I just repeat this every chance I get. It’s what works for me. I tried that whole theory of “living inside the envelope”, it did not work for me. I need to feel like I am living, having some semblance of a life, and that wasn’t it. (for me) At times I may get deliriously happy, excited, proud ,over a project I just finished ,and make a fool out of myself, but hey I am allowed to celebrate what I can accomplish. I celebrate when my friends get out of house, do something, or accomplish wonderful tasks too!( Sick and healthy friends.) Be proud of your accomplishments, your works of art, your brilliant makeover, whatever it is! Now I will post pics of my very humorous ,adventure, in painting, all the door knobs in my house. Once you take door knobs off you can easily lock yourself in or out of the house and rooms…………….make sure you have a screw driver handy to escape! Last night it was my 12 yr old in the bathroom, today I couldn’t get back into the front door, luckily the back sliding door was unlocked, it was pouring down rain and I was locked out, by my own doing! I thought I lost a door knob after painting them all! How do you lose a doorknob!? I forgot I was missing one on one of my doors, DOH! I walked around for quite awhile tho,trying to find the missing door knob, before I realized that!
