Sometimes The Best Way To Explain is...........

Sometimes the best way to explain something to someone, is to have them do it with you, then all of a sudden they get it! This was the case in painting my counter tops. My kids don’t get it, so I had my 13 yr old help me do touch ups(I can’t afford to do the epoxy step yet! $$$). It doesn’t bother me in the least to have it wear, and show wear, which is good since I can not yet afford the epoxy, money wise, or feeling good enuf to do it wise, it more in depth and difficult to do. So I squirted paint down and gave J and rag and said go for it! Yes, it’s that easy! I showed her how to layer and not go in the same direction…….and how it fits into my physical limits of 15-20 windows of time, then rest. It is easy, cheap, and therapeutic. She seemed to have grasp the why, and that thrills me, to be understood, even a little is nice sometimes. We will finish this as we have the time, paint, and money for more paint. People stress out, put too many rules on everything and worry, what if I mess it up!? Well then you paint it again, yes, it’s that simple, calm down, be free, and get creative! When someone visits if it bothers them, maybe I should just give them a rag and have them touch it up with me! I do not want perfection, I want interesting!
