TORIC LENSES INTRODUCED AT NEW VISION EYE CENTRE

Expanding their services, New Vision Eye Centre now utilises Toric Lenses as a part of Cataract Surgery

Of the multitude of eye-related diseases that we are susceptible to either through genetic defects or other causes, cataract is a widespread problem; it is in fact, the leading cause of blindness in the world. It involves the clouding of the lens which is located between the iris and the pupil, and significantly affects an individual’s access to clear vision. Commonly occurring in people over the age of 40, fortunately modern day advancements in medical treatments have made it possible for the condition to be treated more effectively than ever before. Along with LASIK in Dubai, cataract treatments are being actively developed and improved in order to provide people with reliable options in re-gaining their vision.

In light of this, New Vision Eye Centre has introduced the use of Toric lenses into its cataract surgeries in a move that is believed to greatly elevate the success rate of these procedures. Toric lenses are used to aid patients who suffer from astigmatism, as the lenses have the ability to adjust their cornea and shape it accordingly. This means that patients now have the option of integrating an additional treatment together with the surgery or even afterwards. Regardless of when they choose to do this, the end result is designed to help maximise vision as much as possible. LASIK treatment in Dubai is also an option when it comes to correcting astigmatism, which is listed in the clinic’s list of services offered. Toric lenses are a welcome alternative to its counterpart, as it is less invasive and has less side-effects.
