Top Ways to Adapt the Best Skin Care Regimen

As someone who has struggled with skin during most of the 20′s, I cannot tell you how important it is to have a skin care regimen. Oily during the summer and dry during the winters is something probably many of you suffer from. I am here to let you know that you do not have to suffer any longer. I have fixed my problem skin and this to me is the best skin care regimen to adapt yourself to do. Simple and easy.

Cleansing your skin
I am an active person, so I am constantly sweating. I run, I work out at the gym and I have taken up cycling as of recent. This means I need a good cleanser to reach down into my pores to clean out all of the dirt, oil and sweat clogging them. My favourite is my Lush Ultra bland cleanser. I put it on my face like a lotion and wipe it off with a damp cloth. That is it. No need to moisturize since it is made with olive oil. This stuff gets down into your pores and cleans out all of the dirt and make up from your day. Plus it does not dry out your skin like other over the counter products. My skin stays balanced all year round. Can your cleanser do that?

Sunscreen
The importance of sunscreen is something you need to add to your daily skin care regimen whether you are 15 or 100. Our skin is our largest organ, therefore we need to take care of it. Look for a moisturizer with an SPF 30 in it so you do not need to add more products to your face than necessary. Make sure it is a broadband SPF and contains titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. Also be sure to check to see if any of the moisturizers have vitamin C or vitamin E in them which are great for your skin. Remember, when we use sun screen it decreases our chances of damaging our skin and we are less likely to develop skin cancer. Keep your moisturizer in a spot in which you will see it so you will put it on.

Night time
We took care of our day time routine, but let’s nail this evening treatment. Let’s focus on our eyes. If you are like me, you can have trouble with dark circles under your eyes. Too much coffee, and too little sleep. Be sure to use an under eye cream at night prior to bed. This will take care of redness, dark circles and even crow’s feet! A moisturized eye is a happy eye. If you cannot be bothered with yet another cream or serum, then purchase an eye mask and put it on your bed stand to make sure you sleep with it on each night. Your best bet is to purchase a moisturizer with retinol – that will take care of those unsightly wrinkles and puffiness under your eyes to keep you looking as young as you feel.

Skin brighteners
The truth is out and some of us will benefit from skin brighteners. If you are like me, you may have some dark spots from sun damage from when you were in your teens and early 20′s, back when being tan was more important than taking care of your skin. Now with my skin brightener, I put it on in the morning and I am able to notice an improvement on my skin within days. I have more of an even tone to my skin. Do not worry, it will not lighten your skin, just even your skin tone. Skin brighteners also help with acne marks and scarring which I also suffer from. Go ahead, try a skin brightener today. Some may want to consult a doctor prior to doing so, especially if they have sensitive skin.

Just a suggestion
If you live a crazy hectic lifestyle, and you only have time to wash your face once a day, be sure to make it at night prior to bed. This will ensure a clean face without make up, dirt or oil upon hitting the sack. You can even apply your skin brighteners then. When you wake up your face will be moderately clean so long as you do not sweat a lot and your pillow case is clean. If you take a shower in the morning, then there is no excuse to not wash your face, even if it is just with a bar of soap.

Keeping your skin clean is not difficult, but it does take time to get into a regimen. Find products that are good for your skin and always use a sunscreen. Even in winter you can still damage your skin.
