Veriheal (previously OnePath Medical) recently expanded to Maryland, a community that is in dire need of assistance regarding medical cannabis distribution and usage. The software provider offers unique solutions to help connect patients requiring medical cannabis and doctors. After helping numerous distributors and patients in the Silver Springs and Washington D.C. areas, services are expanded to Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland. Veriheal stands out as the only East Coast SaaS provider enabling legal accessing medical marijuana for patients.

In August 2016 Maryland made the first step by granting pre-approval to 15 growers and 15 processors. This was received in a bad way as various growers and companies petitioned and joined a lawsuit against the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commissions. Then, the patient registry was officially opened to people on April 24.

Veriheal was founded in 2017 as OnePath Medical. The software provider created a system that connects the patients needing medical marijuana and cannabis to dispensaries, doctors and even ongoing medical cannabis through cloud technology. The company offers software that the doctors can white label. Different medical cannabis software manufacturers are mainly present in the West Coast and focus on doctors and patients, often using third party software. This limits customizability, scalability and can become problematic when medical cannabis laws change in the state. Veriheal offers the customizability necessary in the modern environment.

The Maryland expansion offers medical cannabis approvals for the patients trying to buy medicine in a legal way. Veriheal works with the doctors, patients, the cannabis community and medical marijuana dispensaries in order to guarantee proper, safe, discreet and sophisticated care. The company works directly with clients in order to offer perfectly customized services. Clients register for the service, go through a medical examination and will receive formal recommendations. Veriheal team members can easily adapt the services offered to the laws that are in place in the state.

The new service appears at a time in which much confusion exists in Maryland. People do not know where they have to register and many medical marijuana users do not even know they are now legally allowed to buy such products. Patients are registering as clients for Veriheal and then complete online profiles. Then, the telemedicine examination starts and if medical cannabis use is appropriate, the recommendation is issued. The client can then access the different medical cannabis dispensaries and products present in Maryland, allowing for a seamless and confidential buying process.

Veriheal always focuses on security so the cloud solution access provided includes connections that are SSL encrypted. Data protection is a top priority, meeting HIPAA standards on electronic record keeping and security.

Maryland now has access to all the resources from Veriheal, a company dedicated to going beyond traditional limits seen whenever referring to cannabis use. The ecosystem created is right now connecting dispensaries, doctors and patients, helping those that need support to receive it as soon as possible. Alternative medicine is gaining popularity in Maryland and the entire country, so solutions offered by the software provider will be really useful.
