Winning the Fight to Reduce Cancer Treatment Side Effects
Clinical studies suggest hydrogen may lessen the side effects a patient experiences during radiation and chemotherapy as clinicians work to reduce cancer treatment side effects.
Nearly 40% of men and 30% of women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Currently, 21 million Americans have cancer and nearly 2 million cases of cancer are detected each year.
While survival statistics have been improving, the improvement is primarily due to early detection as the cut, burn and poison protocols are no more effective today than they were sixty years ago.

ROS in inflammatory disease and cancer
Cancer is a multi-stage process defined by initiation, promotion and progression (14–16), and oxidative stress interacts with all three stages of this process. ROS can increase tumor cell proliferation, survival and cellular migration in animal models and humans by inducing cellular signal transduction pathways (17,18).
What are ROS? Reactive Oxygen Species. ROS are formed as a result of an imbalance between free radical and reactive metabolite production, and can potentially exhibit a negative impact on the organism (19).
It was hypothesized that the majority of radiation-induced symptoms associated with increased ROS and inflammation during radiotherapy would significantly affect the patient’s QOL (62).
The biological reaction to radiation-induced oxidative stress is reduced by the consumption of H2-rich water, without antitumor activities being impaired.
In one study, consumption of H2-rich water for 6 weeks during radiotherapy significantly improved the QOL scores of patients with malignant liver tumors, and the levels of reactive oxygen metabolites in the blood were reduced (63).
Overall, H2 reduces the risk of life style-related oxidative stress by reacting with strong reactive oxygen/nitrogen species in cell-free reactions. It is easy to apply H2 in cases of oxidative stress, inflammation and tumors.
Due to the lack of adverse effects and the high efficacy for the majority of pathogenic statuses involved, H2 gas, H2 water and HS are increasingly being accepted as promising candidates for therapeutic approaches. We hypothesize that H2 gas inhalation and oral administration of H2 water could protect against inflammation in oxidative stress-related cancer, and thus improve the antitumor effect in the clinical management of cancer.
Tumor cells generate ROS more abundantly than normal cells and cause elevated oxidative stress (24). Damage to DNA by ROS is involved in chronic inflammatory diseases and in a wide variety of cancer types, including bladder cancer (25), brain tumors (26), breast cancer (27), cervical cancer (28), gastric cancer (29), liver cancer (30), lung cancer (31), melanoma (32), multiple myeloma (33), leukemia (34), lymphoma (35), oral cancer (36), ovarian cancer (37), pancreatic cancer (38), prostate cancer (39) and sarcoma (40).
Clinical Studies Demonstrate a Reduction of Adverse Treatment Effects
Clinically, H2 has been studied as an adjunctive therapy for individuals undergoing radiation treatment for hepatic malignancy. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, individuals receiving radiotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma or hepatic metastasis were provided with four 500 mL bottles of H2-rich water or placebo water and instructed to drink it daily for six weeks, starting on the first day of their radiation treatment.[38]
Participants were told to drink 200 to 300 mL of the water in the morning, and 100 to 200 mL every few hours throughout the day. Quality of life (QOL) scores were assessed weekly using the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer’s QLQ-C30 questionnaire, which evaluates numerous areas of function that can be affected by malignancy and its treatment, including cognitive, emotional, and physical health.[39]
Antioxidant power and reactive oxidant metabolite levels in the blood were assessed on day one (before the radiation treatment and intervention began) and again after six weeks.
From week one and through the study, QOL scores were significantly better in patients receiving H2-rich water compared to placebo. The individuals consuming H2 water also had significantly less appetite loss and tasting disorders.
Changes in both oxidative stress and antioxidant levels were prevented by consumption of H2 water, while both markers were significantly worsened by radiation treatment in the group receiving placebo water. The tumor response to radiation treatment was not found to be compromised by consumption of the H2-rich water.
If you have cancer, or love someone that does, or even if your family is predisposed to cancer, I strongly recommend drinking hydrogen enriched water. At the very least, please continue to learn about the benefits of ingesting molecular hydrogen for cancer and many other diseases.

Many of us are unintentionally filling our body with chemicals, toxins and the wrong foods which lower our pH balance. This acidic pH results in oxygen deprivation at the cellular level. This is the beginning of degenerative disease.

How much HNEX™ should I drink daily?
For those with chronic health challenges – Morning – 1/2 oz. (1 Tbsp) concentrate – hold in mouth for as long as possible (up to 30 minutes), swallow. It is not like oil pulling, where you spit out the oil after holding in your mouth. You swallow the HNEX™, as any bacteria has been eliminated by HNEX™, and it continues working once you swallow. Repeat daily.
Daytime – add 1 oz. (2 Tbsp) concentrate to about 20 oz. of filtered water (not distilled water – it is acidic, not juice, not lemon water, etc.) Drink this mixture throughout the day, along with your intake of normal water. Repeat daily.
Evening – 1/2 oz. (1 Tbsp) concentrate – hold in mouth for as long as possible (up to 30 minutes), swallow. Repeat daily.
For maintenance: Morning – 1/2 oz. (1 TBSP) of HNEX™ concentrate, hold in the mouth for as long as possible (up to 30 minutes), swallow. (not distilled water – it is acidic, not juice, not lemon water, etc.) Drink this mixture throughout the day, along with your intake of normal water. Repeat daily.

Other Uses

Do not dilute the concentrate. You can drink an entire liter in a day or two. Any doctor isn’t worth their salt knows that cancer does not live in an acid environment. Alkalize the human, kill the cancer. Problem solved but, not acceptable to the AMA and the health mafia.
