BIOHOAX:  A Response to the article “The Ebola Outbreak: U.S. Sponsored Bioterror?” – They eat bush (monkey) meat in west Africa, don’t they?

This Global Research.ca article posted to BIN is full of logical loopholes and is largely assumptive based on those inaccuracies.

Here are major passages from the article followed by my comments:

“One key U.S. driven lie has to do with the Western MSM’s insistence that nobody of any repute believes that Ebola might be airborne.  On this issue, the Public Health Agency of Canada remarks:

In the laboratory, infection through small-particle aerosols has been demonstrated in primates, and airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected, although it has not yet been conclusively demonstrated (1, 6, 13).  The importance of this route of transmission is not clear. Poor hygienic conditions can aid the spread of the virus.

A few scientific studies expressing concern about the airborne possibility are cited in this article, and other such studies are not hard to find.”

‘Small-particle aerosols,’ called ‘droplets’, i.e., minute fluids sprayed into the immediate area (~3 foot range) from patients’ sneezing, coughing, spitting, ARE BODILY FLUIDS transferring directly from infected cases to those unprotected in the immediate vicinity – this is exactly what W.H.O.’s website describes and it is clearly understandable.

Perhaps this example will make it clearer:

Remember when it became illegal for an infected AIDS/HIV patient to spit at/in the face of others, and that some were actually prosecuted for this?

Well, does that venimous saliva flying across the room constitute the AIRBORNE nature of AIDS/HIV?  Of course not, the virus would still be transfered by direct contact with bodily fluids of an infected person.

This wrenching and twisting of the definition of briefly vaporized body fluids, ‘droplets,’ into the air and on to caregivers close by–which is manipulated by so many articles like this one–is just as ridiculous an argument for AIRBORNE Ebola as the above example of the spitting AIDs victim.

How did Ebola get all the way to west Africa, huh?  Two comments, first, look at how neighboring the ‘central’ and ‘west’ African countries hosting ALL Ebola outbreaks are in this map:

The Ebola affected countries over the past four decades are Zaire (Dem. Rep. of Congo), Sudan, Gabon, Uganda, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria (one confirmed imported Ebola death) are all together.

You may as well ask how did Ebola spread from Guinea across the borders to Sierra Leone and Liberia? As Gino Vinnelli put it, ‘people gotta move.’

How did Ebola get all the way to west Africa? Secondly, as the subtitle asks,

They eat bush (monkey) meat in west Africa, don’t they?

Yes they do.  The issue of the Ebola outbreaks across Africa being largely linked to single cases of people handling carcasses for eating bush/monkey meat has been almost completely ignored by every exploitive article trying to explode Ebola into a potential global pandemic (because of how significantly it hinders their argument).

Some research suggests that an outbreak in the wild animals used for consumption (bush meat) may result in a corresponding human outbreak. That’s how Ebola can spread to ANY sub-Saharan African country, by hungry villagers eating infected bush meat, as if these writers didn’t know that prevalent information.

“International breadth of infections’?  “does seem to be far more contagious than any previous outbreak”?

NO – There have been medical workers coming into the outbreak areas from all over the world for decades, but even more so during the current outbreak. 

Previously, in 1996, a doctor from South Africa returned to his country unknowingly infected and his nurse died but he did not.  There were no other infections reported in SA as a result.

Before that, in 1994, a scientist studying in an outbreak area became infected, went to Ivory Coast, and was then treated in Switzerland. He recovered with no further infections reported.

Recently, the doctor who became infected and flew into Lagos, Nigeria died, and later, his personal nurse–but there are no further confirmed cases from exposure to him at this time.

More recently, the doctor and nurse who were vaccinated with an experimental drug and had immediate success and improvement, were flown into Atlanta, staying at Emory hospital, and it is now reported that the doctor may be released soon due to his tremendous progress.

BUT, there has still not been a single confirmed Ebola case outside of Africa – and all those tested in various countries around the world have come back negative for Ebola.

A better question is, ‘Why have there NOT been any outbreaks/epidemics outside of the small area of central and west Africa in nearly FORTY YEARS of Ebola outbreaks??!!  Why doesn’t someone address that fact and read between the lines of this inconvenient  truth?

And, YES, the number of cases in this current outbreak are slightly more than the total number of cases since 1977, but why not include the major outbreaks of 1976 (602 cases, 431 deaths) in your comparison?

There are, however, a few good reasons for the prolonged outbreak this time, as confirmed by the head of the CDC testifying before congress recently:

In summary,

Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention testifying before congress recently said,

“…the outbreak’s two main drivers are LACK of INFECTION CONTROL as both health workers and families care for the sick and risky burial practices.”

….

‘Isaacs of Samaritan’s Purse said that a huge problem will be persuading African communities to abandon the traditional practice of washing the body and kissing the corpse immediately after death, when the body is most infectious. He said aid workers have been attacked when trying to intervene, and that some physicians in Liberia even mocked the existence of the Ebola virus, shunning protection around patients.’

Frieden also estimated it would take at least three to six months to END THE OUTBREAK, under what he called a best-case scenario.

As Director Frieden confirmed, ‘The outbreak can be stopped with tried-and-true public health measures. …The virus is spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of someone who is sick.’

“The second lie really is a lie of nondisclosure, and concerns the reality that the MSM has not told us that we are dealing with a biologically distinct form of Ebola that has never been seen before.”

This may be the assertion of one research case, but it is NOT the accepted medical wisdom, which is that the current infection is the same EBOV (Zaire ebola).  The article ignored two major professional refutations and other factors that don’t support their wishful claim, as we read:

“An article published in the New England Journal of Medicine online in April 2014 asserted that while the Zaire ebolavirus (EBOV) in Guinea shared 97% of its genetic code with the Zaïre lineage, it was of a different clade than the strains from outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon, and constituted a new strain indigenous to Guinea, and was not imported from Central Africa to West Africa.^[9]This result, however was contradicted by two subsequent reports.

The first of these reports reached the conclusion that the outbreak “is likely caused by a Zaire ebolavirus lineage that has spread from Central Africa into Guinea and West Africa in recent decades, and does not represent the emergence of a divergent and endemic virus.”^[126]

A second report published in June 2014 also supports the latter view, determining that it was “extremely unlikely that this virus falls outside the genetic diversity of the Zaïre lineage” and that their analysis “unambiguously supports Guinea 2014 EBOV as a member of the Zaïre lineage.”^[125]

Regardless of this debate, the non-AIRBORNE characteristics of this outbreak from many examples (some above) cancel out unsupported claims that this version is much more deadly and dangerous.

What is actually more troubling is if the countries’ governments and the imported professionals handling it don’t get serious about clamping down with complete quarantine of the infected areas and the people and workers within, and stop letting possible infected people escape the region and fly out to the world, as the CDC chief stated.

As far as the current Ebola outbreak, it is NOT ‘exploding exponentially,’ but still growing at the same current rate with waxing and waning along lines of the incubation periods of about 21 days.  See this chart which graphs the PERCENT INCREASE of the CASES of INFECTION from March to August 2014:

As can be seen from the data, there no increase in the growth rate, just in the number of cases due to the ‘lack of infection control,’ as stated by the CDC head.

There are more half-truths in the subject article worthy of rebuttal, but this generally covers their tenor, and time has gotten away.
