Excessive snoring, shifting around constantly, and over snugging is making you feel at your wits ends with your partner. You are having nights of lost sleep because of this behavior. What are you to do about? You love the person, but you don’t love the way, he or she is interfering with your own need to get a good night’s sleep. Is there help for him or her? The answer is yes. Your relationship can be saved by these sleep time incidents that are wreaking havoc on your bedtime sessions.

Leave anything with a blue glow out of the bedroom

One of the biggest problems of sleep deprivation is being around things that can help to make it come to life. A thing that most people do claim about is the presence of blue light being in their bedrooms and how this light can disrupt their sleep. If you are using an iPad or laptop. Do leave them out of the bedroom, just so they don’t disrupt your partner’s sleep in any way. Also, if you like to read in bed, get a small gooseneck type of light with a focused beam of light that is not bright. Even the smallest amount of light can cause your partner to have problematic sleep. Therefore, do your own individual thing in the bedroom from a sleep perspective, but just be aware that certain things can wake your partner up or afflict their sleep.

Separate the two phases of the night and do your own individual sleep thing

Focusing on your own sleep routine needs are the best way to go. This is because you have your routine and your partner does have his or hers. So, with this said, do divide up the two phases of the night and just do your own individual sleep thing. Don’t be afraid to get into bed with him or to wake him. Men are less sensitive to movement than women are. Therefore, when you get into bed beside him, just do your own sleep thing very quietly, so as not to wake him up. He should remain asleep without a problem.

Block off his emitting body heat with a pillow barrier

If the feel of your man’s very warm body is keeping you awake. The best thing you can do is to put some sort of barrier between yourself and him. One good form of barrier is to make one out of pillows and place it right in the middle of the bed. This will permit you to have your own side and for him to have his. Therefore, he can keep his very toasty self on his side and you will remain cool on the other end. Men do have a much higher core body temperature than women do and this is just a natural fact that needs to be contended with when it comes to sleep.

Couples should use separate covers in bed to promote comfort and good rest

The reason a couple should use two separate covers is very clear. The tugs and kicks will make two people hyperaware of each other’s moves during the night. It will also serve to amplify the heat and one wants to be literally sweating in the bedroom, unless you are sweating in a good way, not a miserable kind of way. This can cause disruption of sleep for both and this is something that both do want to avoid as much as possible.

Consider getting a new mattress or two separate new mattresses

Since women are far more sensitive to sudden movements from her partner, then he is, she can suddenly be awakened in the middle of the night if he moves or rolls around a lot. Therefore, if this be the issue, she would be better off getting a newer mattress that is bigger in size or to just get two separate beds. This waking her up at night can result in lack of sleep and sleep deprivation if it continues over the course of time. Therefore, it is wise to be preventive of sleep deprivation, and that is why it is highly advised to look at getting a much better mattress for two or just two new mattresses for each to sleep separately in.
