Smoking does a lot of damage to the body. It could lead to blood cancer, stained teeth, wrinkly skin, erectile dysfunction, early menopause, cervical cancer and lots more. These and many more are reasons enough to quit smoking.

Quitting the habit of smoking is most times easier said than done. It can be a very hard habit to break, because for most people it has already been imbibed into their daily activities. Most people have tried lots of ways just to break the habit but to no avail. This is where the electronic cigarette comes in.

Electronic Cigarettes (E-Cigarettes) are devices that are powered by batteries, often designed to give the user the feel of a regular cigarette but instead produces vapour when inhaled.

This vapour is produced through the heating of a liquid in a cartridge containing nicotine flavourings and some other chemicals. Instead of the user inhaling smoke like the regular cigarette would produce, they end up inhaling vapour. The electronic cigarette, unlike the regular cigarette, does not produce carbon monoxide or tar.

According to a new study by some British researchers, e-cigarettes actually do help people quit their smoking habits. The study says people who wanted to quit their smoking habit were 60 percent more likely to succeed with the use of e-cigarettes than those who tried other means.

Below are 3 ways through which the electronic cigarette can help you quit smoking.

1. Eases the process of quitting the smoking habit

The electronic cigarette helps you quit smoking through the vapour it produces from the e-liquid it uses. This vapour contains nicotine, like the regular cigarette, thereby reducing whatever withdrawal symptom you otherwise would have had, making it easier for you to stay away from smoking.

2. Considering the various strengths of e-liquids

E-cigarette companies produce E-liquids of different strengths, the high strength nicotine level and the low ones, but since you’re aiming at a goal, which is quitting your smoking habit, you should opt for e-liquids with various strength levels. So at first you’ll be on the high liquid, then with time, you move to the medium-nicotine liquid.

3. Finally Dropping the Habit

Most people are scared of this stage, they panic because they don’t know if they would survive without smoking, or they’re scared they won’t be able to pull through after all the efforts they’ve put into dropping the habit.

This is the stage you’ll have to be determined and drop your nicotine level to the last and only the tiniest traces of nicotine should be found in your e-cigarettes.

You’ll now be able to go to places without it, because your body has started adapting to the reduced levels of nicotine, and then after a point, you proceed to dropping it finally.

When you’re at zero nicotine level, you’re almost done with the process of quitting smoking finally. Of course you might feel quite irritated for some days because at this point you’re no longer addicted to the nicotine. All you now have to do is always make sure the e-cigarette is nicotine free and whenever you feel the need for a cigarette again you just turn to the nicotine free e-cigarette.

Lots of people have quit smoking with the help of the Electronic Cigarettes, and of course, you too can.
