Senate Gang Releases Amnesty Plan Ahead of Obama

A gang of U.S. Senators, the same ones that failed to enforce the last immigration amnesty—gallop forward with yet another illegal alien immigration amnesty. This amnesty expects to give instant citizenship to over 20 million illegal aliens and their families. It will allow millions more of their kin to flood into America with “family reunification”.
Such an amnesty will flood the labor market with millions of unskilled, uneducated workers that will displace millions of America’s working poor. With 47 million Americans subsisting on food stamps today, we can expect millions more living on food stamps and general welfare in the future.
Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, www.Fairus.org , spoke about what we face:
“As FAIR predicted, the Democrats and some misguided Republicans are now introducing outlines for amnesty proposals,” said Stein. “The Senate’s “Gang of Eight” dropped its framework late last night and will hold a press conference today at 2:30pm ET. President Obama will do the same tomorrow in Las Vegas.
“FAIR has obtained a copy of the so-called Senate framework. The plan is supposedly the result of three years of closed door negotiations by a group of pro-amnesty Senators without any input from the American people or any examination of how amnesty or the continued expansion of legal immigration at all levels affects the U.S. labor market.
“Lead by Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the “Gang” only includes Senators who have been supporters of amnesty –Republican Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Jeff Flake (Ariz.) only temporarily flipped in order to win their seats. Like previous amnesty proposals, this most recent iteration creates a “path to citizenship” for nearly all illegal aliens and offers empty promises of enforcement without providing any concrete details.
“It is abundantly clear from the Senate group’s amnesty framework and their tactics that their interests continue to be those of illegal aliens and their own political ambitions, not American workers. We can expect little else from President Obama tomorrow.
“Despite the press conferences and framework releases, very few details are ironed out and a long road remains for any movement on actual legislation. Senate Judiciary Chair Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) has indicated he will begin the hearing process next month, with possible mark-up in March or April. Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) remains quiet on a timeline.”
