Justice Seeks To Deport Home School Immigrants

Why target these immigrants?

 The U.S. Justice Department is seeking to deport a German family who fled Germany in 2008 because they home schooled their children. The German law passed in 1938 by Hitler no less made it illegal to home school, laws passed since have only strengthened that law. An immigration judge granted them political asylum, now the justice department is seeking to send them back to Germany. It does seem funny that this administration has no problem granting citizenship to those who came illegally but wishes to kick this family out.

 The German government had cracked down on families who had been home schooling, so Uwe and Hannelore Romeike brought their children to America. The judge in 2010 believed they would be persecuted for their faith and their choice to home school if they returned to Germany.

Holder and Justice are claiming that home schooling isn’t a fundamental right, also since it bans anybody from home schooling they aren’t violating any right. So a parent not getting to choose how they educate their child is left only to government isn’t that restricting freedom? Seeking asylum for religious freedom shouldn’t matter for the reason, it should only matter if there is merit. Clearly a federal judge saw merit to grant them that asylum, should have come illegally to make Justice and Obama happier?
