Claudia Ochoa Felix, appeared before the press and gave a 5 minute long statesmen, a rather ridiculous, perplexing statement at that.
Appearing much more conservatively dressed, than the social network photos and selfies we are used to seeing, she announced she will sue the media for defamation and damages against those who report she is the leader of the criminal group “Los anthrax.”
“I give you notice, you will undertake claims for damages and other crimes, according to Mexican and foreign laws, since it is not acceptable that for economic interests, by selling their articles, my children are being subjected to bullying, my mother is in distressed and suffering, and totally devastated, restless and without peace, ” she said at a press conference, in which she accepted no questions, just read a prepared statement.
“Now our physical safety is threatened. And make it clear that I do not seek fame, doing what any mother would do to safeguard the lives and health of their children.” Accompanied by her parents, brother and three children, said there is a complaint filed to the authorities to investigate who is behind the Facebook and Twitter accounts, which allegedly took her photographs and posted them.
Last week a noticeable change began occurring on the social networks sites of junior narcos. Many were rendered private, removed, or photographs deleted and postings began anew. It would appear someone, with power, is less than happy at the postings on social media.
It is ridiculous for Ochoa Felix to now complain, as she has spent years documenting her every move and posting endless selfies, her favorite subject. As for her children and family, she has brought that on upon herself. “A good mother”, would never exposed their children if there was even a slight possibility of danger. She should have marked her accounts private, or not posted at all if doing so posed danger. Good luck with her claims against the press, she chose to make her accounts “public”. This action was nothing more than grandstanding and drawing further attention to the issue.

In January 19th 2014 the newspaper Asento 21 mentioned her as the most powerful woman of the drug trafficking, the social medias named her the Empress, they copied photos from social network sites, she says most of the photos are not her.
She claims Facebook and Twitter are not her accounts, she has now made a complaint to punish to those responsible, as it has damaged her life, she recognize the work of the newspaper as usually good work, but also repudiates what they have written about her and she will sue the newspaper that damaged her family.

She doesn’t have cars or houses, she is proud to live in her parents house. The actions of the press also damaged her brother, he has never used or knows about weapons. She only knows about the GOTCHA weapons [paintball], and she doesn’t travel so frequently, she went to Peru but she never imagine that to make that trip means she was committing a crime. She had her passport with her,in case reporters want to inspect it.
She is now at the order of the police, if they want to investigate her, she called on all mothers to check the social medias, so they can prevent going through what she has. She regrets not doing something about this earlier.
Familiar tactic
This media blitz is reminiscent that of Griselda Lopez Perez, one of Chapo’s wives. She went to the media and gave interviews saying publicity about her involvement in cartel activities, and of her children’s involvement, was patently false and has brought great harm to her innocent family. She claimed not to have seen Chapo in years.
In February of this year there was a near capture of Chapo Guzman, in Culiacan. He escaped through sewer tunnels accessed by a hatch concealed by a spa tub.
It was the home of Griselda Lopez Perez.
