"El Alemán": Another CDG Leader falls in Tamaulipas

Through a special operation conducted on Wednesday, July 16 at the Rio Bravo-Reynosa highway on the junction to Matamoros, elements of State Police, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of the Navy and Federal Police captured suspected leader of CDG, who operated in the municipalities of Valle Hermoso and Rio Bravo.

Arrested is Miguel Angel Aleman Salinas, aka “El Aleman”, who was accompanied by four other men in a vehicle traveling on the highway mentioned above, when they were detected by the security forces that comprise the Coordination Group of Tamaulipas.

The other detainees are Israel García Rojas, Raul Villarreal Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez and Victor Hugo Hernández Gutiérrez Ortiz.

Aleman Salinas and his accomplices, were detected by state troopers acting suspiciously, as they closely watched a special operation that federal and state forces were conducting on the aforementioned highway.

Following the arrest, a group of armed men tried to rescue the alleged criminal leader and his companions, but the rapid coordination between Army, Navy, Federal Police and State Police circumvented the rescue.

A lock was terminated by authorities that allowed access to satellite communications used by the suspected criminals.

The detainees were turned over to a Federal Public Prosecutor for investigations.

Aleman Salinas was a member of GRUPO ESPECIAL DE REACCION INMEDIATA or “GERI”, a ministerial police agency in Tamaulipas.

“El Alemán” is the brother-in-law of “Juan Perros” Juan Miguel Rodriguez Garcia (above) and son in law of Juan Manuel Rodriguez Rodriguez (below left).

Both Rodriguez men were recently arrested and were on the Tamaulipas most wanted list. “Juan Perros ” was the leader of the CDG group “Panteras” operating in Rio Bravo and part of Reynosa.

Rodriguez Rodriquez was the successor of Mario Armando Ramirez Trevino, El Pelon or The X-20 , arrested in August and regarded as the leader of the Gulf cartel .

Aleman was the highest priority in this second phase of the government‘s operation to capture and disrupt criminal operations.

There are no photos of Aleman, strangely enough, because of his employment with the state agency, other than the alleged photo above, which does not reveal his face.
