Ulsterman’s Take On Illegal Immigration & Deportation Issue…

During the GOP presidential debate this week a somewhat exasperated Donald Trump declared we as Americans must choose if we are a “nation of laws” or not, and that if we are going to “protect our borders” or not.

It’s an important question. Mr. Trump doesn’t pretty it up with fancified political-speak – he just comes right out and says it.

His willingness to do so is what has made him both very popular among voters, and the target of ongoing vilification among the media elite and liberal-progressives who pretend to believe things like protected borders and lawful immigration policies are somehow inhumane and abusive to those seeking entry into the United States.

With that said, here’s my take on the subject…

Millions want to come to America.

I get it.

And yet, I also understand that without structured, organized, LEGAL immigration, the very qualities of freedom and opportunity inherent within the fabric of the United States’ experience will be diminished, corrupted, and ultimately and irrevocably damaged beyond the point of practical repair.

It is said some eleven million illegal immigrants currently reside inside of the United States and that number is increasing by hundreds of thousands every year. Over the course of Barack Obama’s presidency, more and more of those eleven million+ are seeking government assistance in the form of taxpayer funded medical care, housing, and food subsidies. Where once illegal immigrants might have come to this country to find work, more and more and coming to be given handouts.

That is an undeniable fact – and it is also a recipe for economic disaster.

Americans are being taken terrible advantage of, and Democrats demand more of that advantage be given. It seems both unwise, and in direct violation of the oath every politician must take prior to assuming office – to defend the Constitution of the United States. How can allowing violations of this country’s sovereignty be in any way, shape, or form, defending the Constitution?

You can be certain that if illegal immigrants overwhelmingly voted for Republicans, the Democrats would have long ago built a border wall, increased border security personnel, and have been demanding over and over again we enforce this nation’s immigration laws.

Instead, their polling has indicated time and again the greater number of illegal immigrants, the more easily they win elections. They will, and have, denied this, but study after study proves it true. Democrats are not the party of the American Middle Class as they so often try to claim. They are the party of invasion advocacy, of breaking laws, of reducing all of America to one giant cesspool of lawless victimization that pits one group against the other all in the name of politics.

It is a form of treason.

Open border advocates have created an increasingly dangerous and costly environment through which crimes and violence of the worst kind are being perpetrated across the U.S. border and that violence is now bleeding into nearly every American community across the country.

This is not “humane” but rather an abdication of responsibility by politicians who see the United States as nothing more than something that must be made less, not greater and rightfully sense illegal immigration as one of the easiest and fastest ways in which to do just that.

“Break our laws and we shall reward you with citizenship, free food, free housing, free medical care, free education, etc.”

Imagine the chaos upon this country’s roads and highways if the punishment for speeding was a new car?

As ridiculous as the above scenario is, it is a fair representation of how politicians and media figures view the need to reward those who have and continue to enter the United States illegally. And if a figure of importance such as Donald Trump or Ted Cruz declare it is in fact far more humane and responsible to secure our borders, and to enforce our immigration laws, leftist politicians and media figures attempt to shut them down with cries of racism. With that fact in mind, let us look at another appropriate analogy:

A family is inside their home at night. Through their front window they see two Hispanic men jump the fence that borders their property, make their way to the family’s front door, and proceed to kick it in and demand they be given money, food, and shelter. The father marches both men back outside the borders of his property at gunpoint and tells them not to come back. Law enforcement arrives and cites the father for racism – that because the men were of a different race than him, he had no legal authority to defend his property or his own family. What he should have done according to law enforcement, is to do nothing as the men forced their way inside where they were to be given their demands of money, food, and shelter even if it meant the man would bankrupt himself by doing so. If one of the men was a criminal, a rapist, a murderer, that didn’t matter and shame on the property owner for not being more considerate of the “immigrants’” feelings.

That is the Obama-era version of immigration policy.

It is madness.

As Donald Trump and others have so often said, are we to be a nation of laws or not? If some politicians so easily advocate for the breaking of laws, why should anyone stop with immigration laws? Why then can’t all of us break whatever laws we choose to? Where does it end? Why cannot we be allowed to enter the White House and live there free of charge? How about Nancy Pelosi’s multi-million dollar San Francisco property? Or the Clinton’s millionaire Chappaqua home?

Ah, but you see, reader, the open borders advocates would never allow for THAT. Instead they feel the ones who must give up their own tax dollars, their own jobs, their own freedoms and opportunity are primarily Middle Class Americans. Democrats have never been the party of the Middle Class – never. They see that segment of America as a cash machine readily manipulated by their oft-repeated political lies. And when I say the Middle Class, I mean just that – Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, all those who represent the true strength and potential that has always been the United States of America. Those born here or who came here LEGALLY. It is not racist to say so, it is simple common sense.
